I bought into Lowe's 24V battery line of brushless tools when they came out. Later I bought the 24V chainsaw and I was very pleased. Perfect for clearing small trees out of the fence line and limbing. I have an assortment of gas chainsaws and use them as needed but the little Kobalt is always in...
This worked for me one time. Cut the tree down leaving a 5 foot or so stump. Tie a chain around the stump near the top. Hook up to a 4WD tractor or truck and pull. The leverage of the tall stump will pull the roots up.
Not elegant, but low cost!
I got a set of cheapo bolt ons for my tractor buckets. I mainly use them to roll stuff back to the bucket that normally is hard to pick up without getting off the tractor and pushing and shoving. I think they would work OK for a pallet but I would not want to push it. They only cost $158...
I bought some bolt on hooks from Amazon. They come with reinforcing plates and bolts. I am currently deciding where to locate them on the tractor bucket.

I pump a 50/50 mix of antifreeze through the sprayers.
Equipment with gearboxes that stay outside get a bucket or lick tub over the gearboxes.
I like to pressure wash equipment that stays in the shed or barn after the last use.
My old Ford 641 does not have live power. Without an overrunning clutch you will find yourself pushed through a fence when using a rotary cutter, or even worse, over a cliff.
I would try to put the square end of a 1/4 inch drive socket on the drain plug. The bigger the socket size the better, 1/2 inch maybe. Then put a bolt in the socket with a couple jam nuts on it and see if you can turn it with a wrench or another socket.
I really like these new fangled battery leaf blowers. I use mine to blow clippings off the mower and tractor before I leave the field. Piled up clippings will rot out a mower in just a few seasons.
The blades on my 5 foot Woods got in terrible shape so I got replacement blades at TSC and installed them. Afterwards the mower was shaking so bad the tractor fenders were rattling. I tried to figure out what I did wrong. I thought the blades might be sticking at the bolt end and cleaned that up...
I am not sure it is a good idea to shut off the fuel supply to a running diesel engine. At a minimum you are probably going to have to bleed the injector lines to get the engine running again.
I like the brake pedal down, high gear, idle and pop the clutch idea best I think.
My small tractor has...
I bought the cheapest one I could find.

Even this cheap one works good and it saves a lot of oxy-acetylene which is getting expensive around here.
A long rake tooth sticking straight out from the bottom of the mower might work to "peel" off the long blades of fescue that always grow over the bottom barb wire.
I have all the different types of sprayer setups in this post that I use on the farm. They all have their strengths and weaknesses. One thing I would like to add is about sprayer maintenance. After each use I always rinse with water and run the water through the pump and nozzles. For outside...
I got the same pump at Harbor Freight and use it to pump off road diesel out of a 55 gal drum. This eliminates a lot of trips to refill 5 gal fuel cans every season. I use barrel lifting chains to move the 55 gal drum using a tractor FEL.
I use a 30 amp hour wheel chair battery for power which...
PTO driveline damage with a rotary cutter can be a big headache as shown by this posting. If the damage is internal to the tractor a whole new level of headache is added. A couple of rules I try to remember (and often forget) are:
1. Raise the RC and bump the PTO a few times to get the blade...
Small cultivator or even better a small chisel plow sounds like a good idea. My clay/rocky soil likes to compact so bad that the tiller just bounces up and down on new ground. If you have a neighbor that is working ground with a big tractor they would do you a great favor to go over this field...
I use inexpensive Black and Deckers 20V max saw and pole saw to keep fence rows cleaned out. Very convenient for that kind of start-stop work.
For the big jobs I revert to my Stihl gas saws.
I am considering getting an Ego chain saw as I am in that brand for a string trimmer and leaf blower...
I used to bush hog 9 acres of hillside that had grass covered hidden rock ledges with a Ford 641 Workmaster. It had quick spread wheels so I spread them all the way out. It was nerve racking at first but after a couple of seasons I learned how to handle the hazards. Practice in a low risk area...
My old truck suffers with mice infestation and I recently forgot to remove some of those free dog biscuits that I picked up at the farm store. The mice moved in and I was forced to use poison. Now I am waiting for the smell to subside.
Here is my list of thoughts on prevention:
1. Never leave...
Good ideas in this thread.
I don't have a lot of room in my tool box either so instead of a full size hammer I keep a stubby in there. Handy for knocking a stuck pin out.
Stubby ball peen
I have a lot of Black and Decker 20V tools. I use this 15 dollar adapter to run my old 18v Dewalt drill with a B&D 20V battery. B&D 20v clone batteries are plentiful and cheap on Amazon.
Convert 18v Dewalt tool to 20v B&D battery
Dewalt also sells an adapter to run their 18V tools with their...
I angle the grader blade to scrape all loose gravel to the center making at least one pass in each direction. Then I use the blade backwards with no angle to smooth the gravel to the edges of the road. I takes some practice and if you switch to a different tractor or blade you have to relearn...
I use Bounce dryer sheets in my pickup cab and tractor cab with good results.
Also remove trash especially anything worth eating.
From what I have read mice leave a urine trail wherever they go that other mice will follow. Perhaps a good soap down and pressure wash might help.
My spouse uses...
Where I live we can get 90REC fuel at some gas stations. I use the 90REC to mix fuel for all my 2 cycle engines. For 4 cycle engines I use standard 87 ethanol blend. For seasonal 4 cycle equipment (ie. lawn mower) I will run 93REC and Stabil before I put the equipment in storage until next...
