Truss boom in action.

My bobcat dealer had a brand new truss boom that was traded back in 8 years ago. It was still strapped to a disintegrated pallet. It is for the larger lift so I bought a SSQA plate to weld to it. Got it for 1/3 of the price so I said why not!

This got the rear wheels light! Once I got on the concrete driveway the steering wheel got hard to turn!

This one had its claws dug in. Tried it extended out at "C" and no luck. Pulled forward and retracted to "B". Plucked it right out.

Snapped some more pictures today. I still don't see a counter weight. Looking in that oval hole above the trailer hitch, it is all the fuel tank. You will also notice the square blocks of steel with a threaded hole that I assume is to hang additional weights. Someone at bobcat must of been king...

It saved us a hundred trips up and down a ladder while prepping this barn for board and batt siding. I'll get some pics of it doing some real work soon. Will be doing some backfill next week and some lot clearing after the 1st of the year.

It came prepped with speakers and wiring. When I asked the dealer about a radio they said there wasn't one available for it yet. So I went to walmart and got a cheap Bluetooth radio and suction cup mount for my phone. Works good!

Starter was a bit slow at 14 degrees this morning. Once it is running the heater gets the cab mega hot!
