If this is a sealed case, standard gear oil should be adequate. Gear boxes usually run about 1/3 to half full. Did your tractor come with the reverser?

how often are the bulbs changed? the spectrum burns out and they need to be replaced, check with the manufacture. At some point they are just purple lights and don't kill anymore. if it were me, I'd put the effort into sealing out critters, dirt, etc.
