    Tooth bar?

So everyone can say "I told you so". My stump removal failed, although I didn't give it too much effort because I didn't want to break my tractor. But I'm happy with my Piranha tooth bar. Digging is so much easier now. I'm going to try and rent a stump grinder. Where I am, they get a minimum...

    Tooth bar?

Maple roots spread outward along the ground. I'm going to try to shred all the roots around the stump an inch at a time and hopefully push it over. At least that's the plan, we'll see if it works?

    Tooth bar?

It's an 8" maple, if I can't dig it out then I will cut it a low as possible and build over it. But I'm going to give it a go first. I will report back with my success, or failure! I still have other uses for the tooth bar, so I won't regret the purchase.

    Tooth bar?

It's on a little bit of an incline so I prefer to remove it, if possible. Otherwise, the shed will be higher than I would like it to be.

    Tooth bar?

Just got my Piranha tooth bar. I'm going to attack that stump as soon as the frost melts, wish me luck.

    Tooth bar vs none difference?

Just got my Piranha tooth bar, specifically for ripping some roots where I plan to build a shed. I asked on here about using it on roots to an 8" Maple tree stump and got answers that it wouldn't work, well we'll see soon. I'm just waiting for the frost to thaw.

    Tooth bar?

Thanks for all the responses. So, after visiting the Kubota Tractor store and talking with a tractor customer from my area, I'm going to order a Piranha tooth bar. I was told that this tooth bar will shred the roots of a maple tree like pealing a potato. Maple tree roots grow outward so I was...

    Tooth bar?

Maple tree roots don't go that deep but they can spread out from the tree for quite a few feet.

    Tooth bar?

It's a Maple It's a clump of 3 maple tree stumps, one about 10" and the other two about 4". They are where I want to build a shed. If I can't get them out I will have to cut them flush to the ground and build over them but I really didn't want the shed that high.

    Tooth bar?

I don't really care what it looks like as long as it gets the job done.

    Tooth bar?

It's about 10" round. I left them sticking up about 4' so I think if I dig around it I can push it over?

    Tooth bar?

I have a chance to buy a 48" Heavy Hitch tooth bar, barely used for half the price of a new one. The only thing is, I have a 54" bucket. Will it still work well enough to dig out some tree stumps?

    Building a deck

I just picked up my permit today. I hope to order all my materials this week. I was trying to wait until lumber prices stabilized. I have a lot of things going on so it could be a few weeks before they go in the ground.

    Building a deck

I'm thinking I'm going to risk it and buy the piers if I can get the delivery driver to put them in my back yard where the deck is going, close to where they are going in the ground. I only need 3 and I would feel safer if I don't have to move them too far, maybe 8-10'. I'm assuming they use a...

    Building a deck

Is that 700 lbs including the bucket, because I've been reading the bucket is around 150-200 lbs? The posts are 750 lbs so if you add the bucket I'm at 900-950lbs, just short of max lifting capacity. The posts are 54" high so I will be starting the lift from 5' but I only have to lift them off...

    Building a deck

The previous owner had a HD hook welded to the top of the bucket to lift things but he passed away years ago so I can't consult with him. But tilting the bucket back would get the hook inline or even before the pins. I'm just not sure I should make the commitment on the piers if I can't set...

    Building a deck

I have a B2710 Kubota and I'm wondering if I can safely lift a 54" 750lb concrete pier high enough to set it in a footing ditch? I'm debating on whether I should just get sono tubes and pour footings or use precast footings which would be easier and quicker. I do have loader tires and a weight...

    B7210HST

I'm new to the forum, live in New England. I just bought a 2003 Kubota B7210HST tractor with an LA402 loader an a 6' Curtis power angle plow. It also has a Curtis cab with a heater. The machine has a little over 800 hours, mostly due to mowing a 5 acre lawn. I have no lawn so I sold the mower...
