Thanks to everyone. I decided that I needed to figure out the problem based on all the advice. Turns out it was a set of 3 issues. Replacing the thermister really helped on the fuel solenoid. Now I get a strong click everytime I turn the key. Before, I often did not hear a click. Second...
Well I replaced the thermister, not the easiest job but I got it done. Turned the key, heard sharp sound and now the tractor is completely dead. It blew the 30 fuse on the starter circuit. I put in a new fuse and nothing when I turn the key. Some days it is better not to fix things! Open to...
Looking for some help. I have a 2000 JD 4500 with 800 hours. When I try to start it, it turns over well but does not start. After trying several times, I let the tractor sit for a little while and it usually starts. I have checked the ground wire connection on the block and it seems fine...
I bought a Cub Cadet ZTR1 50 a couple of weeks ago. It lasted for about 90 minutes. The transmisson belt came off and to fix it, the mower has to go to a service center. Needless to say I returned the mower for a refund.
That's the puzzle. I try to start the tractor and no luck. I take the wire nut off and put it back on and it does start. The wires are twisted tightly together. Maybe there is a fault further down the wire and just moving them works. Once the tractor is warm it starts fine.
I have a JD 4500 with a starting issue. When cold, the tractor will turn over but not start. Several years ago I got frustrated with the seat pressure switch and took it out. I put the red and white and red wires from the switch together. All was well. Lately the starting problem began...
I have a JD 4500 with farm tires Rt1. The front tires are tearing up my meadow when I turn. Can I mix turf tires on front and leave the farm tires on the rear? I do need traction on some hilly areas so I do not want to go to all turf tires. Tractor is 4wd.
Thanks
I had a similar issue. I tried starting my tractor many times and gave up. The next day I planned to bleed the injectors, but decided to try cranking it a few more times. Each time I started it it would run a little longer. Finally it ran and after a couple of minutes of rough idle it...
I need some advice. I just changed the fuel filter on my JD 4500 tractor built in 1999
The manual says the tractor is self bleeding but now everytime I try to start the tractor it will start, run for 15 seconds and dies. Usually it increases rpm's just before dying. Do I need to bleed the...
