I grease the tractor about every 20 hours. The loader/grapple about every 5. Grease is a lot cheaper than repair. I use the red stuff on the loader and lithium on the tractor.

Most 3rd function hydraulic hoses don't relieve pressure when you cycle them with engine off. You either have to milk the male fitting or crack open the connection at the grapple cylinders to relieve pressure. Also make sure there is no residual oil in thr female fitting when you retry a failed...

I se a Husq 460 for felling mature oaks & pines (60-85 feet) & lopping large limbs. I have a 440 for smaller trees & limbing or trimming. Both start on about the THIRD pull. I also use a Woodland Mills stump grinder on my JD 3046R.

Jd 3039R or 3046R. I've owned the 3046R for two years (600 Hrs) and have no complaints

The ROPS on my 1025R fits in my shop with no problem. The only time the ROPS on my 3046R is up is when it's in the way of using the back hoe.

Have a JD 3046R with 500 hours. Probably has regened 4 times when under no load splitting wood. I just keep working as JD says. If you are getting a PARK Regen warning you have anissue somewhere

I own a WM 24. Great tool. I have ground over 50 oak stumps 12' to 30", Over 40 pines 18" plus and too many sweet gums and boxwood stobs & stumps to count. Had mine for 2 years and haven't had to change teeth yet. Run it on a JD3046R

With more HP you also may get more hydraulic flow. This important with grapple work picking up tree trunks to cord. More horsepower won't bog down as quick when doing dirt (or snow) work. I run a JD3046R and occasionally wish I'd gone with the 4052.

I run a Frontier RT3049 on a JD 1025R with no issues. The 49" tiller covers my tire spread and the tractor has plenty of HP. I do put it on the back of my 3046R if I'm in clay or root area.

I use a Rhino similar to design 2 on a JD 3046R. I move a LOT of brush, logs & limbs I chip. Probably my most used attachment.
