GC1700 Can backhoe can stay on with mid-mount mower?

Most of my mowing is flat but there are a couple of hilly areas that could be much scarier with too much top weight, plus the backhoe pads do stick out a bit (I forgot that and hit my mailbox clearing some snow a couple of years ago!)

GC1700 Can backhoe can stay on with mid-mount mower?

Yeah that's what I was thinking. It'll give me the impetus to build a "rollaround" dolly for the backhoe so I can move things around in my "tractor shed" easier.

GC1700 Can backhoe can stay on with mid-mount mower?

The title probably says it all. I have a GC1710 and was thinking about getting a mid-mount mower for it. I looked in my owner's manual and didn't see anything specific but do I have to remove the backhoe to use the mower? I'm thinking mostly the up-down movement of the mower with the 3-point...

    Pat's Easy Change on a GC17xx . with backhoe?

Has anyone installed a Pat's quick change on the 3 point system for a GC17xx with a backhoe? If so, does it fit under the frame when you fold it up to reinstall the backhoe? Mounting my chipper/shredder is a pain in the butt and I'm thinking this would make my life a lot easier. Thanks!

Earth anchors and post hole digger?

I'm going to build a 8x10' storage shed and I've been thinking about how to attach it to the ground. The shed will be wood with a sheet steel roof, so I'm guessing it'll weigh about a ton when complete. One idea was using these 46" Penetrator earth screws from American Earth Anchors (here's...

    Hi folks!

Hi, I've made a couple of posts already but didn't introduce myself. We live in NH not far from Concord, the state capital. We don't have a huge place, 2-3 ac, but a lot of it is wooded and needs some cleanup. I currently have a JD X590 garden tractor with the MMM and snowblower. I'm...

    Going to buy a GC1710

Hi, First post here on TBN. I currently have a JD X590 garden tractor with a 42" MMM and snowblower. It's been fine (other than the auger box breaking on the snow thrower, but that's another story.) I have more chores I want to get done, so I've been looking at a bunch of SCUTs and have...
