Pressure control settings on a 175

With the lift cover off, the manual says to place the Hydralever in the fully "down" position.....which is a pressure control position, does it mean a "low" position, which is for pressure? If placed in the fully down position there is no way that the 1 7/16" gap between the pressure control...

175 lift cover adjustments without MFN -970 tool/gauge

Hello, So with this tool pretty much impossible to find, what is a work-around? I've searched and searched but have yet to come across a common method used today. From pics that I've seen it looks like maybe it is an extension of the beveled section where the ram arm meets the rear of the lift...

3-Point Hitch  175 lift cover questions.

I'm finally finding the time to get it back together. My current roadblock is as follows. On the lift cover rocker link there are two bushings. One with a solid end and one with a split end. I took pics before I pressed them out and put new ones back in, so I know it's back like it was, however...

Massey 175 hydraulic parts guru needed

So on my newly acquired 175, serial#9A 64010, which looks to be a '69, the rockshaft wouldn't work so I figured I dig into it. I got the cover off and the problem was obvious....rings missing on the piston. Now I'm trying to find parts and keep running into dead ends. It looks like what I...

Dirt Moving  How big of a disc will a MF175 pull?

Just bought a 175 with over 9000 hours on it, but in great shape for a 50 year old tractor. I only need to work about 10 acres and was wondering how big of tandem disc I could get away with with this ol' girl? Thank you!
