    Increasing pond size

The pond has come a long way. This weekend we planted 10 Bald Cypress trees around the pond edge and some other plants along the banks.

    Moving some logs.

Today we lit that pile up. 9 hours of burning reduced the pile a lot. The Kubota did it's part turning over the pile every couple of hours. We had to extinguish at the end of the day per the Forestry regs. We also did some tree trimming and will start again in a couple more weeks.

I've been impressed with the Kubota and my wife. I rarely get to use the tractor but hey the wife is happy.

    Increasing pond size

Yep it's the water table. Since last weekend and all the rain we've been getting the level is rising. Kathy and I got the grading done around it and laid the bahia sod on the banks.

    Increasing pond size

The pond on our property, when originally dug by the previous owner, had a shallow end. When the water levels were low it was only a wet grass area. Last week I got a loaner Cat excavator to dig out the shallow end and connect it to the main pond. The wife stayed busy moving a little of the dirt...

B2650 I picked her up todsy

Kathy and I put 7.7 hours on the tractor herb first day. I am very impressed with her performance and ability using the brush hog. She ate some pallmetto bushes and 1.5 inch saplings with no problems. I am very glad that we went with the 2650 in lieu of the 2601 with the wider and bigger stance...

    New for 2019

I'm not sure who all may know this or not but thought I would share it here. The guy at the Kubota dealer says this is new for 2019. Fast loader removal system and the new R14 tires.

    What size tractor is right?

My wife and I have just purchased 5 acres in central Florida and would like to get a tractor to mow, move dirt, plow small garden, etc. Mostly flat sandy soil with pasture type grass. My plan is to seed with Bahia and have a couple of miniature donkeys and goats. My question is about the size...

    Just joined.

Thanks for allowing me into the group. My wife and I are just closing on 5 acres in central Florida to build our retirement home. We will be needing a small tractor for chores, gardening, mowing, etc. I'll be seeing everyone around the board. Again thanks for having me.
