    The hydraulic pump on many tractors is geared off the crankshaft at the front of the engine. If the seal leaks it can permit hydraulic fluid to flow into the engine oil. Monitor your engine oil dipstick. You'll probably notice it there befor you see the hydraulic fluid getting lower.

    Almost anything is possible, it's just time and money. You will be looking at rims as well as tires for the rear.     The first thing to try is probably disconnecting the engine end. You may be able to pull the cable out of the sheath. If you can do this you can probably lube the cable, reinsert it, and put it back together with no further issues.
