I have used both OEM and Rotella. Not sure I could tell the difference. I can say that my Kubota L3400 has gotten to smoke when I first start it up and if I’m mowing or working it hard a puff will spew out every once in a while.

I’m in east Texas. I also pull hams and back straps. I try to trap them, there is a guy here that buys them. They process them and sell the meat. They do get trap smart and it can be a challenge. I sometimes if I shoot them I drag them into the woods, coyotes gotta eat.

You are correct, it is a X900. When I did the 10hour initial service I got the wrong filters because I said 900, they are different for the X900. I bought it new last year. I use it almost entirely to haul feed and fence tools, check cows, fence lines and clearing pastures.

I would have husky repaired and then go to the pure, no ethanol gas. It cost $3.50+ a gallon but the carb and hoses won’t deteriorate. I personally have a Stilh FS85 for 20 years. Had to have a carburetor put on once but it runs like a champ.

So how much did these covers cost? I like the idea of not having to fight the cover being in the way while trying to hook up PTO shaft, they are a pain enough.
