Pickup fuel pump replacement - lifting bed

I just finished pulling the bed off my 97 Dodge Ram 2500 long bed last week to replace a leaking fuel line. I use my 4000 # forklift with a set of 8' extensions I fabbed up. After the 8 bed bolts are out and the fuel filler, rear light wiring, ground strap to cab, and license plate plastic...

Weird part welded on 4wd lever on Ford 1710

My Ford 1700 4wd lever broke off at the pivot and I think that it was because of stepping on the lever when I was getting on the tractor. I would surmise that piece was welded on as a stop to keep from breaking the lever off.

What is the good Chainsaw for clearing?

I have two Stihl climbing saws with 14" bars, one of which was given to me at my company because it stopped running, which turned out to be a clogged spark arrestor. It had been sorely abused by several ignorant employees but it is still going strong. I put a carbide chain on it and have cut...

Why does my FEL go up when I go to float position?

You have a pipe "from the pump" and a pressure in hose? So you have 2 pressurized inputs? I have a pipe from the hydraulic pump to the 3 point lift housing and a hose from the aluminum block that goes to the "IN" side of the valve.

Why does my FEL go up when I go to float position?

The blue item to the left of where the hoses are connected in the photo is the original relief valve. When an FEL is plumbed in, it goes on the other side of the adapter. There are six hoses going to the valve. The 3PH works fine. Nothing mechanical to shift for the 3PH to operate; just move...

Why does my FEL go up when I go to float position?

Ok, I had time to go look at it again. The white arrow points to the pipe that comes from the hydraulic pump. The red arrow is the pressure hose to the valve, which is marked as "IN". The other hose is the return which is marked as "OUT" (as it is plumbed the way I bought it). The 3 point is...

Why does my FEL go up when I go to float position?

I will have to go take a look at it again. I have not had much time to work on it due to a major repair/remodel on my home. I will get back on it soon. Thanks for all the input.

Why does my FEL go up when I go to float position?

This is the control I bought. 1 is the hose from the pump, 2 is the return, 3 and 4 control the boom, 5 and 6 control the bucket and the other two will control the hydraulic top link when I get a cylinder..

Why does my FEL go up when I go to float position?

It is a brand new Cross exactly like the original except that it has an added control which I am going to use for a hydraulic top link. It does have PB that is plugged. The boom does move up when the lever is pulled rearward. The valve only has detent on the down stroke of the boom. Power...

Why does my FEL go up when I go to float position?

I have a Ford 770 FEL on my 1700. When I put the FEL into float position, the bucket goes up. Obviously, this isn`t right. The original Cross two-function control did this but I put a new three-function Cross control on it and it still does the same. What`s that all about?

    Power beyond for power steering?

That would be my take on it. At this time with the bucket fully loaded, I had better be pretty well aimed at where I`m going to dump it since it is nearly impossible to turn the steering wheel. I`m sure that you are correct in that the power beyond port needs the sleeve bushing added. I am...

    Power beyond for power steering?

Thanks for all the info. I find that I have a place to add a power steering pump to the engine (no room to double the hydraulic pump at the front of the engine). When all the other priorities get resolved I will work on that.

    Power beyond for power steering?

I have a 1980 Ford 1700 4wd with manual steering and has a Ford 770 FEL. Is it possible to use the power beyond to operate an add on hydraulic steering setup? Thanks!

    Carbon Dioxide

I guess I`m part of the problem. I brew quite a bit of beer and the byproduct of the yeast is CO2 and alcohol. What is the percent of CO2 the entire brewing industry produces around the world?
