Kubota. IMO=hands down. engines made by them; engineered to last-not to price. Owned two (less than 30 HP)--more HP, I'd go Red or Blue (their own engines). Just sayin. Next one for us is a Farmall 75......

I would check with more than one dealer close geographically to you for price. It never hurts to ask--all they can say is no or .....I was told by an 'orange' dealer that any green engine less than 50 hp wasn't made by Deere? If so, get a Deere diesel!!! IMO. Can anyone verify this?

If I can do it--you can do it. Take your time and follow the directions and ask your friends for advice, too. You will do fine.

I do what I can do--my hourly rate is a helluva lot less than my dealers' (both of them- New Holland & Kubota); and, if there's something I can't do I load it up ($75 fee Times 2) and bite the bullet. Oil, filters, fluids, grease pretty easy to do, for me so far. But, you gotta feel good about...

Both 'brands' good, imo; and, dealers are bu$iness men/women= if they can make more margin on one brand, everything else 'reasonably' equal. ****, I'd do it...$ usually always a BIG factor....

I'd go with a Deere. Quality never costs-it always pays. I think 50 horse and above are Deere diesels; below that Yanmar?? Get Deere's engine. My opinion.

Kubota excellent quality; premium priced. Mahindra old technology? Deal network/service?? Spec out a New Holland. Deere's are good; but, I understand their engines under 50 horse are Not Deere (Yanmar??) Yanmar a good engine; not a Deere engine, IMO.

We haul a NH TC30 and a Kubota RTV900-about a ton each (hauled separately!). No problem--just take your time; don't drive like a bat out of hell; and, be care downhill.

Sorry to learn of your predicament. Kubota has more loose change that fell behind the file cabinets in the executive offices then you do so work something out with them, or give them their tractor back.....don't be a felon and/or wreck ur credit!

Get a tractor! I had a zero turn and it ran down the hill on me and smacked the trailer; plus, the engine burned up because the engine wasn't pressure lubed and the perpetual side slope starved the high side of the splash lube. Zero turns are great for flat surfaces. Bad Boy makes a good Diesel...

I would make sure that the bill of sale, etc. states that the hour meter read 12 . whatever 10'ths hours FOR Warranty and Your Protection for sure. That way you are covered.

We have 2 with the "sideways" pipes--seldom notice the exhaust. You could put an extender on the sideways (or vertical) pipe to deflect the exhaust out further it it's a concern. Diesel smells better than gas, to me, anyway....:)

Mahindra's engines are 'old technology' I've heard?? the company itself was having financial issues. The units themselves are attractive--600+ paint colors to pick from?? I'd price them out. $till prefer the Kubota RTV (diesel), personally.

I agree. And, gears are maybe less prone to 'go wrong' (as my thrifty relatives would say) versus the 'more complicated' HST. I have both. Plowing and 'bush-hogging' seem easier for me in a gear. My wife prefers the HST...
