No they haven't been removed and cleaned, I can try that to but why would that have anything to do with the intermittent and touchy working safety controller and starting?

@Harry in Ky When I go to start it the glow plug light is not illuminated and no crank. Power to the starter and the fuel is cut off. I originally tried starting it by jumping the starter and realized it had shut the fuel off. So I know for 100% that starter power and fuel modules are cut off...

@Harry in Ky That's why I was trying to see if any one had any 100% ways of checking it. If it were just me operating the tractor I wouldn't have much of an issue but I have three children soon that may be operating it around the farm and $500 is not worth it for me to put them at risk...
