    Mahindra Max26 add rear remote

I have a Max26 with the backhoe attachment. There are 3 quick connect fittings in the rear for the backhoe. I'm new to tractors and hydraulics but I have to assume that adding a rear remote would be a rather simple process. The dealer wanted crazy money for a factory kit and I'm not sure where...

    YM240D Pops out of gear

Sorry, I'm new to tractors and described it as if I were driving a manual car. It is the 5-8 gear circled in the photo.

    YM240D Pops out of gear

Correct. It is the gear shift that pops out.

    YM240D Pops out of gear

My 240D pops out of the 4th gear in high range. It does not pop out in low range. I am curious if this is something that will require splitting the tractor to address. Or are there things I can look at as a start that don't require splitting the tractor?

    YM240D brake issue

I bought the levers and cams from Hoye. The brakes are now adjusted and function great.

Max 26 - finish mower size

I ended up buying a used Frontier GM2072, 72" finish mower. After 2 days of working on the deferred maintenance items I did my trial run. It did a great job with my Mahindra Max26. I used low range and went slow. It still cut my mowing time significantly. Plus the section I tested on was...

Max 26XLT - Run In Procedure

The dealer delivered my new Max 26 yesterday and I'm trying to become familiar with it by reading the owner's manual. I don't quite understand the run-in procedure. It states: For the 1st hour: engine speed control lever position - fully advanced - maintain engine speed 100RPM above full load...

Max 26 - finish mower size

No mid pto. I decided against the mid mount mower because I will be doing a lot of loader and backhoe work on uneven terrain and in the woods. I was concerned with the mid mount getting hung up and was not crazy about the idea of removing it every time I do that kind of work. Plus, the dealer...

Max 26 - finish mower size

I have a loader on the front so the weight shouldn't be an issue. The 3pt max lift is 2300 lbs. Would 72" really be pushing it? I have a 48" brush cutter so if it got away from me and grew too long I could knock it down with the brush cutter first. I'm mowing what used to be a hay field with...

Max 26 - finish mower size

I purchased a Max 26 without the belly mower. I will get a 3pt finish mower for it. The dealer said the recommended implement size is 48" for basically everything except a rake. I find it hard to believe this 26hp machine can't handle at least a 60" 3pt finish mower. Does anyone have real world...

    YM240D brake issue

@California thanks for the reply. For some reason I figured there were no replacement parts, but lo and behold, Hoye tractor has them. They're not cheap, but I guess it may be cheaper than the potential outcome of going down my hills without brakes. :)

    YM240D brake issue

I recently did some work on the brakes of my YM240D. The left side was full of oil. I replaced the seal and no more leaks. I also replaced the shoes and springs with replacements from Hoye. The right side works really well. However, the left side is adjusted as far as it will go and still does...

YM240D - PTO Shift and Diff Lock levers move together

Thank you. I understand how it works now. I didn't see the relationship to the diff lever yesterday. I didn't realize the pto lever was using the diff lever/rod as its pivot point. The funny thing is, I greased all the fittings last night including #29. However, I couldn't figure out why I...

YM240D - PTO Shift and Diff Lock levers move together

When I move the PTO shift lever to select the PTO speed my diff lock lever also moves. I don't understand how or why these two levers would move together. I'm guessing they should not, but I can not figure out how to fix it. The PTO shift lever goes into the transmission case on the left side...

    Yanmar YFL-240 Loader Hydraulics

Thanks for the tips. It's winter and I was bored so I decided to open up the control valve to have a look. I replaced the 4 o-rings that sit in the grooves of the housing at the ends of each valve. It was a couple of bucks for the bag of o-rings and now i have a few spares. That seems to have...

    Yanmar YFL-240 Loader Hydraulics

I just purchased a Yanmar YM240D with a YFL-240 Loader and have some questions as I'm new to tractors and hydraulics. First, does anyone know where I can get the manual for the loader? I've searched and have found nothing. I have a couple of very slow leaks I want to deal with. First is the...

    Hello from Central NY

I currently live in the Syracuse NY area and recently purchased 25 acres in Chenango county. It's about 10 acres of meadow, probably less, and the rest wooded. I'm not sure what we're going to do with the property yet, but at a minimum I want to keep the meadows mowed. We'll be camping on it in...
