Finally got to talk to a Massey tech! Apparently, the lever is just to far from the transmission by design. Two possible solutions: cut the lever flush to the slot or put "notches" on the slot to prevent unwanted arm movement.

Hello all, I have had this issue for a while on my MF1758 where when engaged in middle gear and driving, the transmission kicks and goes to neutral. Oil temperature doesn't seem to be a factor and all the levers and arms are attached properly without any loose. I didn't worry to much about it...
