well had a stuck valve , freed it up cleaned around,put everything back together, put in 80 w fluid , cranked up let it run a little while, pulled lift lever no joy, any ideas?
Yep called valley power (800-609-5110) talked with Bill most kind and unselfish person I've ever talked to . I have ask him about other problems in the past and he has always been gracious and helpful, if you got problems with a satoh he is the man.

Well I changed out my hydrolic/transmission oil on my satoh s630d and used tractor supply universal 10-30 hydrolic.transmission oil, and it will try to lift but stops. just looking at manuel and it calls for 80 weight gear oil. I think i have found my problem.
I have a 5" king kutter finisher mower I've had for over 20 years and its still good but It has an agravaiting problem of filling the belt cover with grass clippings. I just cleaned it out and it was a wheelbarrow load , not a hand full. I'm thinking of making a guard that would block the open...
I just got a new to me befco finish mower has new tires but they are flat, looking at laminated tires by High grade manufacturing, anybody have experience with laminated tires on finish mower, have any other recomendations?
Worked on it again the other tires are down to, looking at some solid hand cart wheel tire assembly, but has off set hub, can't see how that would matter plenty of clearance. but definitly going to go with no flat tires.
yep got to thinking about it and it should be bushed, got some stock that will work perfect. thanks for confirmation just don't have confidence in myself sometimes. two heads always better than one.thanks for the replys.
I just bought a used befco finish mower and it has new wheels and tires on it but found one flat today and when I took wheel off the axle bolt is about 1/2 " and the hole through the wheel is 5/8 should i bush this or use as is.

need to clean the fuel tank from my satoh bull , removed the steering wheel can't see how to move dash up to have enough clearance to remove tank, does the steering column have to be un bolted at steering box and throttle lever un bolted?
Free at last! got the engine where it will turn freely, put a little more atf in the cylinders pumped it out but some grass clippings came with it so I may have to take the head off although it is clean at the intake.
Victory ! got the injectors out due to a little advice from Valley Power. This a spare bull I bought for parts But I believe I can bring it back to life, gaining on it little by little.
Removed glow plugs put kroil and marvel mystery oil in didn,t seem to fill up cylinder, but crankcase is fuller and I can smell kroil on the dipstick so it evidently went straight threw, anyone know for sure if adding oil through the glow plug hole would go into cylinder. Thanks in advance.
Motor is locked up trying to remove injectors so I can put some oil on top of the pistons to soak, my question is there some trick to removing the injectors? I have removed the bolts that hold them in and made an adaptor for a slide hammer to fit through the bolt holes after letting it soak...
