    I'm still not sure what the name of this type of brake is but they appear to work like so (for anyone who reads this thread in the future): Magnet pushes blue disk out onto spinning red disk - this causes the blue disk to have friction and push the yellow piece of metal onto the outer C shapped...

    Fixing up an old Woods M5-3 "Dixie Cut" brush hog

    Found an old Woods Dixie Cut brush hog on craigslist. Little to no rust but a leaky seal, very worn blades and cracked lift arm (which was welded on.) Figured out it's a Woods M5-3 - was able to get the product manual from woods which was nice. Got a new seal from german bliss - changing...
