    Wood splitters

I have used my dads regular tw3 numerous times with some of the nastiest wood you can imagine. Definitely wouldnt hesitate if I were you to look into the LD version. Its either 24 or 25 inch blocks the LD one will take which im definitely good with that lol. I can always add the 4 way later on...

    Wood splitters

Also, when I say bought it mean ordered lol. As with most anything currently theres a pretty good wait time. I was told probably February or March which is perfect since I wont truely need it until spring so it'll give me a some time to get my hoses setup and ready to go

    Wood splitters

Outta curiosity, why the HD model? I bought just the regular TW3 with the table grate. Not an overly huge fan of a 4 way wedge in my own opinion, and didnt see a need for the log lifter as if its that big of a piece the nice thing with the 3 point hitch you can just drop it down lower.

The nice thing with the tw3 splitter I bought is it comes with a seperate hydraulic tank and pump that runs off the p to shaft which makes it much quicker.

    Wood splitters

Appreciate all the comments, went ahead this morning and ordered the timberwolf tw3 with a table grate. For what I do and how I do it this will work just fine for me. On a side note the dealer is bought it from is a farmer. So definitely the type of person id rather deal with anyhow

    Wood splitters

Im not sure how they figure the tonnage is only 14.5, I saw that and wondered about that. The tw3 that my father has has split anything that's ever been put threw it. Btw the axe is definitely far from an option. All the lifting I do at work and owning a sawmill and whatever other projects life...

    Wood splitters

I wouldnt use the tractors hydraulics. The timberwolf comes with a pump that runs on the pto shaft and its own seperate hydraulic tank. What I do and what works best for me as I typically cut and split alone anyway is cut the trees down de limb, burn the brush and stack logs as I have a grapple...

    Wood splitters

Thats a good point on the type of wood. Some of it is simple but alot of it is pretty gnarly. Especially alot of the spruce I sell as camp wood. I think force behind the tractor would be far more important to me over the speed. Never really thought of it like that

    Wood splitters

I did just look and seen that shipping is between $1200 and $1500 and was reading right now the wait time is extremely long. Think the cycle time is 8 seconds on the tw3 timberwolf and 4 on the easton ultra. Was also checking out the American conveyors and splitters tractor mounted splitter...

    Wood splitters

I do split and sell wood in the side, part of why I wouldnt use the tractors hydraulics as the cycle time is definitely quicker.

    Wood splitters

Looking at a couple of different wood splitters. My dad has had a timberwolf tw3 for quite a long time now, ive always liked it as its got a lot more splitting force compared to something you would pick up at a farm store. Anyways, I bought a new dk5010 and my original plan was to buy the same...

    Availability

Think it depends on your area really and how much the dealer is pushing tractors. I ordered mine July 23rd and it came in 2 weeks ago with my 3rd function. Im reading several months on both for others so I was extremely shocked when they called already

Kioti warranty termination after *any* DIY work? Really?!?!

Doesnt just about every company put something like that in the fine print now? Even when you buy a chainsaw it says use our genuine oil blah blah blah or it could void your warranty. I dont think using a grapple or anything like that is an issue. I think basically the only thing that fine print...

Land clearing for house build, need some insite

I do have some sand that I can see on the land for sure. No dozers or anything like that coming in all work is being done by myself. Did see where we are in the top 5 wettest july's of all time so in reality its just the year working against me

Land clearing for house build, need some insite

Right now the plan is to finish up on the culvert pipe where I started the driveway. Not much left to i just need to finish off the edges and fill the holes in on the ends of the pipe. Atleast that drains quite well😂. We are looking at some dry weather after tomorrow for the rest of the week...

Land clearing for house build, need some insite

As for the reply on the photos I didnt realise that until I tried posting some lol. Yesterday I did go ahead and grade off some the slop hoping it would help some. Biggest thing for me right now is to be able to get to the back part of the property. its untouched ground as of now with numerous...

Land clearing for house build, need some insite

Hey guys, new here. Need some advice on some wet clay land. In the spring I closed on 5 acres of heavily wooded land that im looking to build a house and a garage on. I also own a small bandsaw so I need room for a building for the mill, logs, kiln, drying shed etc. Anyway, up until mid June the...
