Outside storage for attatchments: How to keep the weeds down?

Glyphosate. Kills the weeds that are contacted, but doesn't travel. Utilities use it around poles. The original Triox was great for longer term, but EPA killed it in '85. Ground clear works OK, but better after using Glyphosate.

I probably wouldn't 'trade' as you usually get much less than if you sold the old one yourself. As to other JD dealers as suggested above...in many places JD has only 1 dealer, but multiple stores. They (and to a lesser degree Kubota) are pushing for fewer dealers with large footprints. Good...

How much more can a tractor pull with loaded tires?

Lots of variables with a plow. Soil type, moisture, temperature, blade type, size, sharpness, depth, angle...the list goes on. Weight over the drive axle should improve traction. The extent to which that happens cannot be answered in a meaningful way. Also, you may need significant weight on...

12 States to ban diesel vehicles

Supreme Court ruling (Sims) took away the checks that kept cities from dominating states. Next to impossible to put that genie back. They would have to enforce a return and reset most state governments. Our system was built to balance city and rural power. The Court broke it for the states.

I think you'll find the wider grapple has the same problem, with a slightly larger load. My loads are ofter much wider than my grapple. The limiting factor is the width of the trail, path or road. Most of my place is forest. I agree, there's a balance. Too narrow makes it difficult to carry...

The companies, sadly, are unlikely to make any significant changes. The rules will change again in 3 years and they will be left holding the cans.
