Boating many years taught me the harm of ANY ethanol percentage in an engine not used near-daily. I've used only 100% in everything but my car and truck and only one small engine (cheap fuakomosaki something or other) string trimmer which had same carb clogging issues and went straight to the dump!

Have to agree, mine still strong with 480 hours on the clock but I did just replace double pulley and idler on stamped 44" deck and all is well. Try kevlar or aramid belts; longer lasting by far!

I have a 2006 GT2544 with 480 hours on the clock, just did partial rebuild of stamped 44" deck which had been chewing belts too often. Now healthy again, and the tractor itself has never had any issues, but I use, NOT abuse it, in a hilly 2 acres in East TN. I just purchased a 'new' 2016 XT-3...
