Post Hole Digger for my BX25D

My experience from when I had a similar PHD years ago for my BX22 is that you will be happier if you have something on the tractor like the Pat's quick attach system as it extends the 3pt arms a little bit and that helps with a fixed configuration device like the PHD and getting it high enough...

    BX23s rake attachment

That makes sense. If you already have the QuickOn setup, the local shop should be able to use that to adapt the rake of your choice.

    BX23s rake attachment

See if BExpanded can modify an appropriately sized rake from the mini ex world to fit the quick change setup if you buy it and send it to them.

    Traded up before tariffs hit

I have a BX22 that's still kicking after all these years, although I'm only just over a 1000 hours. Some of them were pretty hard in 2022, however, because I used the machine to do the ground prep for my new shop building at this property...removing about 30 ton of soil and putting in about 60...

    Removing a frontend loader for a BX2380

Even with my old BX22, removal of the FEL is a simple process, done mostly from the seat behind the wheel. Lift it up, put down the support feet, lower it down, pull the pins on either side, manipulate it off the mount with the loader control. Turn things off, disconnect the hydraulic hoses and...

Oil & Fuel BX-24 no 12v to fuel pump!?!?

I seem to remember a couple of fuses on the end of a bundle on (I think) the right side of my BX22 in addition to the regular fuse block. Check for something like that on your BX25. The location is down toward the frame, maybe partially hidden by the FEL mounts.

    BX22 FEL Curl Cylinder Replacement

Final bill at the local dealer I used for the rebuild... $179. I have zero issue with that. I suspect the combo of the parts and tools I would have had to buy would have been at least that much.

    BX22 FEL Curl Cylinder Replacement

I've already dropped it off, Henro, but will keep that in mind for any future needs. There's not much in the way of "hydraulic shops" nearby, to the best of my knowledge but I'll be sure to look into it.

    BX22 FEL Curl Cylinder Replacement

Just to bring closure and after reviewing the excellent tutorial and checking with one of my three local Kubota dealers, I'm going to let them do the rebuild. The parts are about $55 and given the need to buy a bunch of tools that I'd never use again, their $200 estimate for labor is reasonable...

    Kubota BX-25 backhoe bucket options

They also have an excellent quick attach setup that makes changing buckets easy, not to mention a nice narrow bucket if one needs to do trenching for utilities, etc. Oh, and a mechanical thumb. Great company who happens to sponsor this discussion area.

    BX22 FEL Curl Cylinder Replacement

If anyone has replaced a BX22 (or BX2200) FEL bucket curl cylinder, I'm interested in knowing if you were able to acquire one that matched OEM 1.25" pin size (and from where) or if you opted to go with a readily available 1" pin cylinder and implement bushings? All these years with moving nearly...

    BX25(2014) neutral switch help

Advice on after sales FEL for an old BX2200 D (pre-2000 maybe)

Finding a compatible FEL for a 20 year old machine might be a tough row to hoe as they were re-designed a few years later. (I own a BX22 which is the same machine as yours but issued with a FEL and BH..'had a BX2200 for a year or so before I traded for the BX22 and the extra utility) I see to...

Need front tires for BX 2660

Even with the evidence of dry rot, tubing them can let you continue using them for a bit longer if the tread is good. I'd never do this with an on-road vehicle, but for my Big Orange Power Tool (BX22) and my (other brand) ZTR, it's been a cost effective way to deal with this. The one time I did...

BX1850D want to buy instrument cluster

If you do a Google search on that part number, you'll see who has it available and at what cost. The first result shows $650, for example.

    3-Point Hitch 2004 BX22 3PH won't raise, valve has no effect

I'm not sure what to suggest about the 3PT not functioning...I have not had the BH off my BX22 for like a decade now. I would guess that something is blocked and not passing fluid to raise/lower. I will say that I did the shim modification and it made a "yuge" difference in FEL performance...

I'm in shock... Kubota BX pricing

I had the heavy 60" mower for my BX22 "back in the day" and quickly determined that it was a poor way to mow our property because of the need to remove the BH and FEL to use it and the need to remove the deck to use the FEL and BH appropriately and safely. (The BH is not an easy install/removal...

Placement of doors in 40x60x14 workshop

The bottom line for door placement is very dependent on how one is going to use the doors. My post frame workshop is a single 8x8 overhead door and since it's only used occasionally to bring in material, it's offset to a front corner where I can access it with my trailer. Folks using doors for...

BX22 stops running when key is released

When I had this issue a few years ago with my BX22, the fuses seemed good and tested good, but one wasn't. I don't know if the setup is the same between the first generation BX22 and your BX23, but the fuse that was the issue was not one in the fuse panel under the steering wheel, but one of the...

A sad day on the farm

I'm very sad to read about your loss. I just cannot imagine... Of source, I'd also like to reach through the Internet and slap your insurance agent up-side their head for not making sure you had replacement cost coverage on your property and structures. It sucks you're only able to get partial...

Loader PLEASE HELP ME FIND A LA211 LOADER FOR MY BX22

No issue on the repost...it happens. My advice is the same as in the previous thread and consistent with JWR above...if you want/need a loader, re-sell the BX2230 and buy a BX2xxx or BX2x that already has one. It's not something you'll likely find used/removed from a tractor and impossibly...

Just bought a Kubota BX2230 and have some question

Welcome to the BX family. Good machine and hopefully, you'll have the gremlins solved. My 20 year old BX-22 is still going strong for sure. For a quick attach, I have the Pat's system which I know this forum sent out an email about relative to a Black Friday discount within the last day. Top...

    BX23 Steering fault

Absolutely start with the cylinder up front, the cylinder mounts and also check for play in the tie rod assemblies. But don't rule out the steering hydraulic valve up under the dash. I did have to replace that about two years ago on my BX22. An aftermarket unit was slightly less expensive than...

    Tires for 2016 Kubota BX25D

If you are planning on using your BX25D for working the ground, I'll suggest you stick with the R4s or Ag tires. Turf tires have very poor traction for that kind of activity...my original BX2200 with FEL had them and it was horrible. When I replaced it a year later with a BX22, I went with the...
