My leak appears to be the joint and not a crack. Not leaking bad enough to justify disassembly and resealing. Pictures are tough to tell where the leak is but about where the paint puddled on the vertical joint.
So the GL-4 is 90 weight gear oil, it is for the front differential. I pulled down your manual and on Page 5-11 it gives

@oldnslo , it is a divider block. I cannot find a schematic of the internals but the attached are from the parts manual. If I read the schematics right, the steering column drains back to the sump through its own hose. The loader drains back through this divider block.
