    Pulling small trees

Depending on soil type, soil condition and tree size, you might consider a tree puller. You'd need a third function. I've pushed and pulled pines up to about 6" with my L35. Some people also use a stump bucket. I think you'll find it best to leave the tree intact until you have it out.

    Florescent Lighting Bans?

That's what I did on my home fixtures. I didn't have to change sockets for the tubes I bought. It would be a big job for a whole hospital, but would greatly reduce long-term replacements. If they have 277v lighting, that could be a different story.

    Medical Cost

If I read your post correctly, the provider was compensated about 1/3 of the 'billing'. Sounds about right, a few months ago I had a chemical stress test. The billing was $7,000. Medicare plus supplement paid about $2,300. A few lesser charges were disallowed. Quite a 'discount'.

    what size rotary cutter ?

I've run a 7' LandPride RCR1884 behind an M7040 and I don't think an MX would lift it comfortably. Besides that 7 footer is so long it gets kind of unwieldy. $10K L5030 Plus Restoration, or $25K Newer Tractor With Perilous Electronics?

If you want a loader, don't buy a tractor without it. Used loaders to fit a specific model are scarce. Hiring repairs can get expensive, so you need to be able to take care of most items yourself. What tasks do you need to perform? How large of a tractor do you need?

Can anyone recommend a WiFi thermostat for a small house on a heat pump?

I'm not a Kioti guy so I don't know what your set up looks like. But you could use a multiplier to use your existing valve. You'd have a selector switch, and the switch setting would determine which connection your lever controlled. Summit-Hydraulics.com is one vendor.

Most, if not all, Kubota tractors use what's called an open-center hydraulic system. Large equipment, including Kubota excavators, I think, use a different type system. Definitely an L35. There should be a dipstick in the rear housing, behind the seat, to measure the hydraulic fluid. New HVAC 18 Seer2 Humidity???

The 4T (2-stage) + mini-split I considered would probably have been optimum. I agree with what you wrote. My experience suggests that most new units installed in my area are oversized. I just hope that the efficiency on stage 1 is >= stage 2.

    New HVAC 18 Seer2 Humidity???

I've been recently going through this, so I'll share my learnings. How are you measuring % humidity? I was going by an old Radio Shack meter and couldn't get below high 50s. I bought a new temp/humidity and figured out the old RS was off 6-7%. The new meter reads close to the meter on a...

    Drawbar with down pressure

The plow provides the down force. You can adjust the 'angle of attack' by varying the length of the top link. This is very important with a moldboard plow.

    Battery powered chainsaw

There's even an arborist version! The guys hanging the trusses on my shed wore the carpenter version. They could get them on and off pretty easily since it buckles in front. That little front strap in the picture could be a slight hindrance, but you don't have to use it.

Better drill for hard use? Milwaukee M18 "2904" or ...?

I'm not going to argue quality of Ryobi/Home Depot 18v tools, although they've served my need. But the best thing they've done is maintain battery interchangeability. You can use their latest Li battery in all the One+ tools back to the original blue ni-cad stuff. I don't think any other brand...

    Glulam Beam - Checking Problem

I think you're doing the right thing, getting the manufacturer involved. Besides the bottom being in tension, there is shear in play with higher shear stress near the ends. Those cracks could impair the beams ability to withstand the shear.

    FMC 5x5 Sidewinder auction score!!

I don't know what tractor you have, but I think he was referring to whether you'd be able to lift it with your 3ph. I bought the Ryobi 30deg for my shop project, since I don't have electricity available. It's driven a box+ of 3" nails without problems and has survived a few drops from 8' plus. Horse farm needs tractor

I'd agree on the HST. If you get the gear drive, you also get the transmission-driven PTO vs independent. Battery powered chainsaw

You may be pushing it too hard. I have that Ryobi brushless saw and find that, like a gas saw, it cuts best if you don't overload it. Also, keep a sharp chain on it. It seems to overload more when the battery gets below 2 bars.

B7800 dash panel removal? Stop solenoid removal tip.

Sorry, I can't be sure about this. But I think you have the style solenoid with an internal switch. The two pins are for the two coils, but the pull-in coil has a switch in series with it. As the core pulls in, it opens the switch to that coil and the hold coil keeps the core pulled in. The...

I don't know an exact definition, but when I was young, Saturday was the big day in town. Everybody came to town to buy necessities, get a haircut, and socialize. Clearing 154 acres of woods in west Tennessee

I'd consult a forester. I see a lot of hardwood, white oak maybe, around west Tennessee going for staves, pallets and, maybe, ties. When we cut timber in north Mississippi, hardwood pulp was higher than pine pulp. I think it's highly location dependent.

Thanks for commenting. But a 2x6 costs almost twice what a 2x4 costs, so it doesn't make up for the savings. Also, the LP siding requires 16" maximum spacing. Good point on the trusses and doors. I'm drawing it up now to make sure I have enough height.
