Yes! I place the pto drive in neutral and turn the tractor off to attach anything to the pto. Placing the pto in neutral allows for the shaft to spin freely and makes it SO MUCH easier to attach implements.

I purchased all my implements from my dealer. They delivered them to my property at no charge. I don't even know what brand / name of grapple I even have but it certainly does the job. I can't stand drama and headaches. I'll pay more to do business locally. M

On my LS MT573 the PTO shifter on the left hand side has the option to change from 540rpm, 1,000rpm or neutral. When I place it in neutral, the shaft will spin freely. Just a thought since you have a New Holland 75

I have the MT573 and have not had one issue with the tractor....I love it! I only have about 53 hours on it, but I use it year around and have not had any issues starting it in the winter months.

I'm sure glad I listened to my "gut" and bought from my dealer.

Since you love your Kubota you should probably check with your dealer first on pricing and financing. If that doesn't fit your budget perhaps check Craigslist or other equipment sellers

I am in the process of building a pile of slash at my hunting property that I'll wait to burn next winter, I still have a lot to gather up. The laydowns are easy to gather up but all the small limbs & such is a real P.I.T.A.

If you get out of the seat while it is in neutral it will beep if you do not apply the parking brake. If you forget to disengage the parking brake and put the shuttle shifter in forward or reverse, it will beep. I'm just not used to applying a parking brake on ANYTHING I own....ATV's, Side...
