It's been sitting for 4 years and I just put a new battery it with new cables. It is my mom's and is complete disarray.

I took it off from rhe negative and tried the positive but when I did that the motor or starter will do absolutely nothing. I guess I need to trace the wire?

Put new battery and cables on my kabota l2050. It turns over but a small wire connected to the negative side of the battery gets extremely hot and starts to smoke and smolder. Any thoughts?

I have a small kabota L2050 tractor. Hasn't ran in 5 years. Did run when I parked it. Has a new battery and new battery cables. When I turn the key the lights come on and lights on the dash do also. But I get nothing else. I tested the starter and it is good. Any suggestions would be great...
