    Antonio Carraro for snowblowing

@Cycledude bought it back in December, haven’t needed it since. We did get 2” late last month but I used the plow on my truck. 3/4 of the way through plowing I blew a fuse in the Fisher headgear so I got the tractor out of the shop. Side by side comparison the Meteor did just as nice job as...

    Antonio Carraro for snowblowing

Mark thanks for the reply. Probably take me half an hour to take off my loader, but I’ve never done it. Don’t know if I could give up my loader’s 3500# at max height or the versatility of running a blower and a bucket or mower and a grapple.

    Antonio Carraro for snowblowing

@MarkFromWA how long does it take to R&R the Bonatti loader? My dealer is saying it can lift 1500-2000# (not 700). I like being able to work both ends of the tractor but the dealer says AC won’t warrantee the tractor if I put on a front loader.

Any one deal with Westland Equipment?

@AssyrianKing hope it works out for you. The website is gone. I had found the tractor on Facebook marketplace, only way I’ll buy anything on fb is to go see it.

    FRONT MOUNTED BRUSH CUTTER

Nice job! If overheating is a real problem you might try getting some hydraulic line bent up to replace as many fittings and elbows as you can. I don’t think there’s an elbow on this Twose.

Are Electric Snow Blowers Any Good?

I‘ve been running a Toro 18” electric for 12 years now. Doesn’t throw snow like the 74” blower on the back of the tractor but it’s great for the deck and walkways.

Winches Warn (or other) winch on front of Tc40da

I’m planning on setting up a hydraulic winch on at least the rear of my tractor. Whenever I’ve gotten stuck it’s always been “what was I thinking?” and have been pulled out to the rear.

    Safety mesh source?

Looking to make some guarding for my tractor. Have a boom mower and a 3 pt winch that may want to kill me. Looking for a heavy 1 X 1 mesh. Not interested in expanded steel. Anyone have a source? Thanks

Tractor Shutter upon bush hog start up

“an old beat up 5' bush hog”. I bet it’s pretty loose and you’re going through a resonant frequency as it spins up. As someone also suggested you could be extending a blade that was folded. If it spins smoothly at speed your fine.

Should I buy another compact tractor or something entirely different?

It’s hard to beat a tractor with a bucket on the front and snow blower on the back for some snow removal situations. Get rid of your tractor and snow blower for a new tractor with an cab and an inverted blower.

    ID UCC Filter

It’s a COT’s filter (commercial off the shelf). UCC was bought by Parker and I think they obsoleted the filter. Make doesn’t matter, but it was Twose.

    ID UCC Filter

1998 mower. UCC return hydraulic filter. 2-5/8” diameter at the top. 2-1/8” diameter body. 9” tall. It’s a one piece cartridge. Anyone have a part number or possible source? I haven’t been able to come up with anything. Thanks for the help.

Hooking up my least favorite implement

Did a search for Twose and found this thread. PM Lou the OP and asked him some questions. Ended up buying a 1998 Twose 395, 13’ reach 39” flail Hedge Trimmer. Too new to me to be a pain to attach but I suppose it will get old. My tractor is twice the size of the minimum so it handles it well.

    Fixing a New Holland weld

Go for it. Grind it out, crank up your welder and make a few passes. It’s not a critical joint, keep an eye on it and address it if it cracks again. Looks like the original weld didn’t have any penitration.

Why? Don’t they make a machine you could hook up to that snow blower in like 10 minutes instead of two years?

    Bush Hog repair question

Please junk it. You wouldn’t want to throw a blade. The stresses on that bar are huge at speed.

That missing bolt is on the dealer. I don’t think the driveshaft comes installed. The rear guard is OK, works well just gets beat up backing into brush and trees.

    Remote Hydraulic valve types

Pardon the dumb question but… New Holland WM 70, two rear remotes that are manually operated, A, B and float. Like the lift valve on a loader. To run a log splitter i‘d want on/off that latches. (I could prop a current valve open) What’s that type of valve called and can I replace one of my...

    Manual Hydraulic Multiplier for snowblower

There’s always the electric solution. I have a 74” Blizzard that was behind a 2120. I could always reach over and rotate the chute as needed. With the new beast I’m going to need a remote solution. Considering electric as well as hydraulic and I have rear remotes.

    Standing on Platform on FEL?

First time my wife drove our new tractor was to lift me up today. We’re using forks with a cheep basket, I’m in a harness tied to the tractor. Works great, just don’t tell her how much life insurance you have or it could get really hazardous.

2022 work master 75 pto too fast shutting down ???

I have a 2021 WM 70 and the pto lever is a clutch. I can slowly engage it and spin up the bush hog smoothly. When I disengage it the pto disengages and the blades spin down. For the same year I would think the 70 and 75 share the same mechanicals.

Towing 10.1K with either Toyota Tundra SR5 OR F150 which is better?

You don’t say how far or what sort of terrain you’re driving but when I went through this a few years ago I ended up with a made in Mexico Ram 3500 with a German 6sp manual transmission. At the time we had a 2 horse tag along and a 5 ton equipment trailer. The Toyota would have needed a weight...

Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Snow plow vs snow bucket for a tractor

My NH 2120 and now WM 70 shuttle shifts are equal number of speeds forward or reverse. My stepdad had a JD 1050 with 4 forward 1 reverse or 12 X 3. It ran a blower well enough.

Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Snow plow vs snow bucket for a tractor

Thanks for all the replies. The point that a truck plow on a loader is kinda kludgey Is a good one. I’ve used that setup and it’s ok, would have to switch to the slower snowblower when it got heavy. I’m just looking for another arrow in the quiver sort of thing. The best tool for the amount...

Snow Equipment Owning/Operating  Snow plow vs snow bucket for a tractor

Have a MM2 8’ 6” straight plow for the truck (crew cab, long bed), kinda like plowing with a barge. Just picked up a NH Workmaster 70, 72” bucket. Already have a 74” pto blower. Location Connecticut 6-72” per year. Don’t want to run chains and think I’d need to with a plow. Which would you...

Are Bob Tech and SSQA the same?

New to the SSQA world. Looking at a grapple bucket that came off a Bobcat 943 for my NH WM 70. Owner says it’s Bob Tech but that it won’t fit my SSQA. I‘ve seen a bit on the net saying that Bobcat developed the Bob Tech standard and the it was adopted by other manufacturers and sold as SSQA...
