Adding intermittent wipers to a CK4020SE (or any cab model)

Has anyone ever installed an intermittent wiper control on Kioti cab tractor? It is my biggest complaint on this tractor. I hardly ever need the wipers on full go. It is usually misting out or snowing out and all I need is a wipe every few seconds or so.

Just wanted to revisit this post to say I love this tractor!! So nice and smooth. Only a couple small complaints. One being that I wish it had intermittent wipers.

Thanks for all of the advice guys. My tractor got delivered Thursday. So far I love it and the snowblower is awesome.

Yes I bought a new 40 HP Kioti cab model

Should I buy another compact tractor or something entirely different?

Thats pretty cool. Like I said I was pretty much ready to go this route but after doing some research and talking to owners of older retired model unimogs I decided against it for the following reasons- 1. Unimogs are like an SUV or a Swiss Army knife of equipment. They can do all kinds of...

How long does an engine coolant heater need to be plugged in?

This discussion made me think of this video. Some things are messed up in the translation to English but it is still a really cool video of life in Siberia in the winter.

How long does an engine coolant heater need to be plugged in?

Where does one buy one of these? How does it plumb in? To the cab hester piping? Only gets down to -20 here. -40 (not counting wind chill) is pretty rare.

How long does an engine coolant heater need to be plugged in?

Yeah its "By any means nessassry when it is really cold out and you need it running. My go to is the charger on the battery and a propane portable blast heater running under the tractor pointed at the engine block. Pain in the butt to set up but works within half an hour.

    Block heater for 3520, 3520, 4020

My tractor hasn't been delivered yet, but I have been thinking about block heaters. What are most people using to heat their engine in the winter in northern climates?

    Loaded tires filled with....antifreeze?

That's interesting. I got turned off from LS for the same reason. The local salesman has no integrity. At least as far as my personal experience anyways. Years ago (before LS tractors were even being sold in my area) he had a camper for sale and I was looking for a camper at a reasonable price...

Why? Because I live in Maine and I don't have a garage it will fit in unfortunately [emoji53]

How long does an engine coolant heater need to be plugged in?

Oh really? I always figured it used quite a bit of electricity to heat the engine when it was below zero out.

How long does an engine coolant heater need to be plugged in?

Good to know. I definitely don't want to try to heat the outdoors when it is -15 outside. I just want to heat long enough so the tractor will start.

How long does an engine coolant heater need to be plugged in?

I had one of the engine heaters that gets cut into the radiator hose. I would plug it in and hour or two before I wanted to start the tractor and it didn't seem to help at all. Did I need to leave it plugged in longer? Like over night? Was it a junk heater? Do they not really work below O...

    Engine heater

What is the best type of engine heater to install on a Kioti 4020? Is there a good universal option on Amazon or at TSC? Or should I be buying something from my dealer? On my last tractor I bought the one that you cut into your radiator hose. I got it at TSC. It didn't seem to do much and after...

    Loaded tires filled with....antifreeze?

Thanks guys. I am familiar with the two types of glycol because of my 30 years working in HVAC. I am also hoping it is P glycol and not E glycol. My worry is that they are using this as a way to dispose of old antifreeze (E type) that they have drained out of tractors during service work.

    Loaded tires filled with....antifreeze?

The place I am buying my tractor from says that they load the rear tires with antifreeze. Is this okay or should I be telling them no? My last tractor I had tubes installed and had them filled with calcium chloride.

Yeah 40 HP. Which is the same exact engine as the 35.[emoji849] I misspoke when I said I paid for a radio. I actually got them to throw that in. I did however just add on the third function. I was thinking I wouldn't ever use it but then I was looking at used skidsteer plows and realized I would...

    Bye bye my old friend

Not a post about buying really but selling. 17 years ago I bought my first tractor. Lots of good memories with this ole girl. Bought a new cab model Kioti 40 HP the other day so this one needs to go. Sold it to a buddy of mine so I will be able to visit it on occasion. [emoji4]

    CK4020SE vs. CK3520SE

I ordered a 72" Meteor rear mount push type blower (drive backwards to use) with hydraulic chute rotation and hydraulic deflector. Holding off on chains for now. I got them to throw in the factory radio for free but after watching some YouTube videos I am learning that the stock stereo system...

    Can I grease too much?

One thing worth mentioning. You should try to grease the FEL with the different sections in a "relaxed position" so the bucket laying on the ground or on a prop. This takes the tension off from the main pins, the lift cylendar pivot points, etc. Allowing the grease to more easily get in where it...

Thanks for the replies guys. I went back to the Mahindra/Kioti dealership. The Mahindra is definitely more of a "Man's tractor" if that makes any sense. Everything is just a bit more rugged especially with the whole framework that goes from the loader frame to the rear of the tractor. I liked...

    CK4020SE vs. CK3520SE

Yeah my current 2615 won't drive up my driveway in high...sometimes struggles in med Pretty pathetic. It is really frustrating that the 35HP "could be" a 40HP so quickly and easily but the 40 HP is $2k more. If I buy the 40 and then a year later I find put there is a cheap way to make a 35 a 40...

    CK4020SE vs. CK3520SE

Very interesting. I own an HVAC company and discovered a similar situation. I purchase a larger BTU heat pump indoor unit and it costs more. It makes sense...more BTUs must be a bigger unit right? Nope the same exact unit except the control board which tells the unit it is a 12,000 BTU unit...

    CK4020SE vs. CK3520SE

So why don't they just make them all 40 HP? Very odd. So do you think it is worth the extra HP? Can the 5HP be DIY added later? Are they doing head work also maybe?

Really? So do you think they were just trying to move the Mahindra? After all it was the only new Mahindra left in the yard with a whole bunch of Kiotis. [emoji848] I'll have to look closer at the Kioti when I go back I guess.

    CK4020SE vs. CK3520SE

I am trying to decide between the 35 & the 40. With only $2,000 difference I am leaning towards the 40 HP. I mean,...who doesn't like more power right? I'm just wondering is there ANYTHING I am missing here? What are the differences between the two engines that makes one 5 HP more? And why do...

Hey everyone thanks for your replies and advice. I looked at tractors today. I had a great experience at a Mahindra/Kioti dealership. It is down to a Kioti 3520SE Cab, 4020 SE, or a Mahindra 2638 Cab. The pricing is as follows: $36,500 0% APR or $34,800 if buying outright $38,500 0% APR or...

Thanks for the comments guys. Several people saying I should get a pull behind blower. I have explored this option in the past. The ole 26 -HP Mahindra tractor has served me well for the past 15 or so years but it's time for something different. Usage is 90% for snow and ice management from November to March. I have 1000' long steep driveway that goes downhill to a busy high speed road on a blind corner. There is a...

The ole Mahindra 2615 has 750 hours and served me well for the past 15 or so years but it's time for something different.
