Really need your advice whether my daughters car is safe to drive or not as she needs to return to school later this morning

@CliffordK I'm a weird girl who stops on the road to help other people out, I carry the 4-way and a 24V impact with metric sockets in my truck toolbag...and I also have a breaker bar under the back seat for the spare belt that's in the bag, pretty sure there's a kitchen sink in there too, I even...

    Status of Everything Attachments

I'm sorry your career has been affected, I have seen this so many times in the last 7 years it saddens me. (Just a public service announcement, not an opinion on this company): Whether it's good intentions gone wrong, mismanagement, or outright fraud, these things are happening more and more...

Really need your advice whether my daughters car is safe to drive or not as she needs to return to school later this morning

Agreed. I've had AAA since I was in college, I've used it maybe three times. I have been stuck on the side of the road many, many more times than that but I could handle it myself. And even though I sometimes think I don't need it anymore, $65 a year is a small price to pay for that day when...

Both lift cylinders began spewing at the same time, what have I done?

Yes! I learned that the other night, thank you! I'm used to air and water hoses, and only a few work like that, but the hydraulic ones have I guess a clamping mechanism that can limit the flow if not fully engaged, that's pretty cool. Funny story - I'm a huge fan of quick connects, and...

Yes, that's a fair price. Other than an oil change, there aren't many repairs that I can think of that would be less than $250 at a decent shop nowadays. Yeah, that's shady. Especially if they had it all week. Was it expensive? You might have to write this one off and do the online reviews...

CT230 Died suddenly, wont restart, no lights on dash, no headlights

Be careful. My positive cable was internally corroded and my battery exploded. If you've had any wet weather, you might also check your safety switch connections and the connection from the key switch. Also, was it in gear? If it died when you jumped off, that's a safety switch.

Both lift cylinders began spewing at the same time, what have I done?

You're probably right. Yeah, sorry, that grease is there because I love my battery powered grease gun and I mow a lot of dirt. I always rinse it off after the dirt party, but I've been meaning to get the pressure washer out since last summer. ('Round here, that's what we call a "protective...

Really need your advice whether my daughters car is safe to drive or not as she needs to return to school later this morning

And she's still in school so there's still time to win the battle! Lol. (She's in good hands over there. One of the smartest people I've ever met and a great mentor went to SWT. Another good friend and smartest people I know was the head of the CS department at Texas State for a while.) The...

Both lift cylinders began spewing at the same time, what have I done?

Unfortunately, I don't know if they were leaking while lifting, because my dad is not good at paying attention to those things. I do know it was spraying in a stream while holding steady and after I dropped it down and shut it off. Sorry, it's too dark and cold to go outside, there's a...

Really need your advice whether my daughters car is safe to drive or not as she needs to return to school later this morning

Also, are the symptoms (not just the light) only happening in stop-and-go/city traffic or does it also happen at highway speeds? I can't remember the function, but the mechanic should know, it's part of the emissions system and it usually doesn't cause a problem with mostly high-speed driving...

Really need your advice whether my daughters car is safe to drive or not as she needs to return to school later this morning

Drive by wire systems usually have fail safes in place to prevent acceleration due to faulty readings from the IAC or MAP sensors; it's the whole CanBus thing, one computer refuses to work if another one is reporting an error or not reporting at all. If the ETC light was flashing, that's...

Both lift cylinders began spewing at the same time, what have I done?

Okay, I found the relief valve in the manual. It looks like it's behind the left side foot step? Yes, I have one set of rear aux ports, thank God.

Both lift cylinders began spewing at the same time, what have I done?

Where can I find that? Is it just for the FEL? There were no issues with the rest of the system while I was using it. Yes, the YouTubes told me that it's a square lock ring. Strangely, this is primarily an oil and ag area, and I can only find two hydraulic shops in the directory, there are...

I'm not sure if this will help, but here are photos of the cylinders.

Both lift cylinders began spewing at the same time, what have I done?

Howdy all, I'm not sure what's going on. I have a Bobcat CT440 (Hydro) with the 9TL FEL. It has between 700-750 hours on it, I bought it used in June of 2020 with 604 hours on it. I have not used it since November, we've only had one week with a few days of hard freezing this year (in...

    CT440 electrical arc

I know this is an old thread, but I had a similar situation with my CT440, which ended in the battery exploding while using a jumper box. The culprit was an internally corroded positive cable. No test discovered it. After the battery exploded, one of my friends suggested (actually insisted...
