Switched the filter and it ran at 70% power for 15 minutes then stalled out and died again.

Thanks for the info. I run gator blades and cut at 2.75" as it's my own personal 15 acre yard. It doesn't like the thick grass on the overflow from the pond but it makes it through, then one little 2" stick stopped the entire world.

I have not and I have another hydraulic filter coming. Won't I have to drain the fluid to change the filter or no? Is the suction strainer in the tank or no? I was planning on straining and reusing the same fluid as it only has 50 hours on it from a blown hose last year.

Still looking for the fix before I start tearing into it. Mine since day one has had a small issue with thick/tall grass but still works and just had to slow down at times. My first thought was the mower pump under the seat (which is most expensive and can be rebuilt; $3k for all three pumps...

Wouldn't that cause it to not work all together? It works when the blades are engaged outside of grass and has full power, when I creep into the grass it starts to bog down and wants to proceed to kill the engine unless I turn the blades off. All blades spin freely by hand. Seems to get worse...

Don't believe I mentioned anything about the turbos as the engine operates as it should.

PTO to me means engaging the blades, but yes it is all hydraulic driven. I'm thinking it the hydraulic motor as well, which I believe is located under the seat?

I assume you're speaking of the main hydraulic pump? Even if I have the right deck up, I'm still having the issues. It's only when the PTO is on and drives fine with full power when PTO is off.

I was mowing yesterday and I caught a branch and wedged in between the blade and mower deck on the right wing and it stopped that motor from spinning. I removed the branch and and it worked fine as it should. 15 minutes later I went through some thicker grass and it tries to bogg the motor...
