Well my pigtail from junction box to engine finally had enough wiring rot and the spades failed. Had to order a new pigtail so more to come after it comes in

1 coat so far. Kinda heavy. I lack some touchups though but it’s gonna work

So here’s the 1430 just about ready for paint. Now that tires are on & I got a battery, I’ll go power wash this thing and get after it!!! Thanks for the advice on extras on an air compressor ! Yeah, started on some paint. But she’s gonna be caterpillar yellow. Just like the 988f I used to run.

Ok, quick update. New tires mounted, got a new battery. Currently working on bucket repair . Have to get a new air comp so I can paint. More to come!

That’s the way they came so I didn’t know any different? Anyways, they had mismatched the wheels where they were flipped on rear so tire is closer to chassis on the offset and vice versa on front for the wider stance. I’m opting to leave the offset at the wheel hub so they’re a deep dish wheel...

Nvm, I just figured it out. Lost a seal & outer bearing so gotta get that ordered for the LF wheel.

Here’s the drive ….

School me on something…hydro gears, does the outer shaft seal towards the wheel …does it install from inside or outside? I don’t wanna split the case unless I have to.

Which tires y’all use? I know the differences on applications on turf tires vs bar wedge treads, but on these 1430s, what works best in your experiences? I’m open to either style.

So I was reading the mod posts, and I saw where nobody has tried to convert/modify the forward/reverse mechanism. I’m used to Caterpillar loaders. With that, while doing this project, I’m gonna see if I can modify it somehow and have a normal throttle but I’ll hafta figure out braking. We’ll see...
