I need to build a converter to run a 5hp 3 phase motor on my new old lathe.
Some that I have seen start at $3000 and go up from there. There must be a way to build one for far less moneys.
Can someone tell me what the fascination is about destroying someones mail box?
Saturday morning I went out to front of my property to clean up around the entrance. On the way out I could see my mail box was not looking to good. I got closer then noticed it had been flattened by vandals. At...
Just picked up an older Sears garden tractor and a 3pt tiller for the tractor. Unfortunately it doesn't have the 3pt hitch attachment. At one time Sears did sell them but they don't anymore. Old guys in the parts department do remember one although the newer type lawn tractors use a pull type...
I have a high concentration of Iron in my water and was curious if there was a way to DIY a system. Systems I have priced out run in the neighborhood $3500 to $5500 CAN and need drain to the septic system. I have a pump house that would work but no access to septic. I have no room in my house as...
I have a serious hydraulic leak coming from on top on the transmission somewhere. Has anyone had this problem. I think I still have some warranty will find out today. It is just underneath the seat area on top of the tranny from what I can barely see.
Any ideas??
Going to an auction this weekend one of the things advertised is a 2 way plow. I have not seen one before but gather a person can plow in both directions so they don't have to cover the same field twice.
What would one be worth?
I had seen a fellow on this site that had removed trees by using his hoe. I have a 30 hp tractor with a hoe attachment I was not sure if it was big enough to do the job. Especially digging through some of the roots. My trees were close to 75 feet tall 60 inchs plus in diameter. Basically I dug...
I have a few mounds on my property still snow covered yet but once the snow goes I want to get started.
Does anyone know how to get rid of these little Varmints??
I want to smoke hams, turkeys, fish in temperatures down to -30 if possible.
I have heard of people making a smoker out of an old stove, fridge, even an outhouse.
Then what is the proper way to smoke the meat so that it doesn't turn black.
What is your preference? A front snow plow mounted to a FEL or to the front frame of the tractor? Or a 3 pt Hitch type with the FEL bucket on the front to move snow to a pile?
I plan on hooking up a car radiator to a hot water tank then a 110V fan on the other side to blow air through the vanes. I have a small hot water tank for this purpose just waiting to be used for this little project. I have seen it before with respect to a hot water floor heat system in a garage...
Probably not a new idea but it sure helps around the acreage when handling fallen trees. Recently had a storm go through our area and of course knocked down a few trees. The old way was to man handle them now I use my Hoe with the Thumb attachment I installed on it.
I have 14 acres to break. It was a cattle operation with old corrals it will soon be removed. This sod has not been cultivated in years so I am not sure what type of implement to use on my 30 hp tractor any help would be appreciated.
Bought it about 3 weeks ago. I was thinking either a tractor or Skid Steer. Glad I got this unit instead. Although for moving dirt and such a Skid Steer is much faster only not as versatile as the tractor.
I have a good deal of Corral Fencing to remove weathered planking and posts. Most of all...
