On my 2310, the blinker seems to be tied in with the mickey mouse flashers (selected yellow light flashes, but the other stays on continuously); does that relay maybe something to do with that? Do your flashers still work normally?

Just lost a front wheel off the MMM... again. I suspect the sandy fill soil all around my house (and along our dirt road) is the culprit. Looks like the snap ring that secures the washer, and then the swiveling front wheel, had just worn itself down to the point that it wouldn't hold up under...

I'm not sure anyone ever found a direct after-market replacement for the transmission filter -- best bet is probably a dealer. Dealer prices on parts for these things tend to be exorbitant generally -- OTOH, you won't need to change transmission fluid that often.

Oops... you were talking about the LOADER! Must have been a senior moment on my part -- haven't had my second coffee yet....Well, anyway, the BH can also be a pain! Why was the loader hard to get back on? Had the hydraulic arms retracted by themselves? That often happens with mine.

"...getting the loader back on was a lot more difficult then taking it off." Yep, that's typical. You can make it a lot easier if you get some hydraulic extensions made up -- mine are a bit long at 24", but having them allows you to connect the hydraulics before mounting the BH -- just back up...

Same -- pull back to idle, engage, raise RPM. I mow at somewhere between 1800 and 2000+.

"No Mow May" and all that.... I couldn't stand it any longer so I finally fired up the LRB with the MMM and mowed the lawn for the first time. Grass wasn't too high in most areas, but last fall we had an absolute DELUGE of small maple helicopter seeds -- I think maybe striped maples. Covered...

I think those "stops" are there only as a safety issue -- an inadvertent bump on the lever will NOT be able to turn the PTO "ON" but will instead be stopped from moving all the way forward, making it necessary that actual engagement of the PTO be a deliberate act.

First observation/situation: it may be that the PTO shaft will turn just due to hydraulic fluid swirling around in there. Yes, it would be slow, and I bet you could stop it easily with any resistance applied to it. Second observation/situation: Is this also with the "Engage" lever -- not the...

I don't think the filter being "very warm" is a problem -- that's normal, IMO. When engaging the mower, I always follow this sequence (disengage reverse): 1) slow to idle 2) Slide forward PTO lever to "2000" 3) Slide main PTO lever to "engage." Sometimes the gears will grind when I try to...

Well, it's official: as of this morning, all snow --all piles-- are now gone. Removed blower, put on FEL to move a large branch that fell down next to my BH last winter, moved my pile of rocks to rebuild my summer cooking fireplace, then "aerated" parts of the lawn with my spiked chains. Grass...

My MMM has LOTS of hours on it, and I know I've hit rocks with it on a number of occasions. This spindles are pretty loud -- quiet down quite a bit after greasing, but it doesn't take long for them to get loud again, hence the suspect bearings. We'll see, I'll probably try to take it apart this...

The engine will overheat before it can take water from the overflow back into the system, so -- of course, after it's totally cooled down-- remove the radiator cap and fill the radiator to the top first. Then adjust coolant level in the overflow tank.

Those plugs are pretty easy to put on cross-threaded, which I suspect more often than not occurs during assembly. My axle plug was/is OK, but my main hydraulic fill plug in the back was a b^%^ch to get off. Replaced it years ago. Keep in mind those plugs are vented....

And this AM it looks like the LRB will get some exercise, Dave -- the overnight 1" or less of "insignificant snow flurries" are now at 2" and still coming down....
