Has anyone added a dove tail to their trailer, I want to make it easier to load my BX2200 and backhoe with out having the ramps so long.
What angle would be best?
I got a subframe from a dealer and neither of us know what kind of tractor it was made for.
It looks like it will fit my BX2200, the front of it comes to the pivot points for the midmount mower arms and it goes back far enough to fit into the mounts for the backhoe, a LITW Korean BH-6600.
How...
How many TBN members are using or thinking of using a CNC plasma cutting table ?
I am thinking real hard about getting a Plasmacam, they seem to be the most complete self contained unit availiable that I have found.
Any ideas or thoughts on the subject?

I got a flyer from Surplus center and they have Swivel Eye Cylinders in 1" to 1.5" bore that should work great for TNT uses, I ordered 2 in 1.5" bore 6" stroke 13 1/4 retracted length which will work for my BX 2200.
They don't have a lot of them, so better check them out soon, the only had 14 of...
I kept reading the posts about grapples and decided to build a small one for my BX2200.
I don’t plan to do a lot of heavy work with a grapple so I made it to suit my needs.
When I trim the trees on my place I have a lot of trimmings that I burn and trying to haul a lot of small branches and...
I was mowing around the house today after sharpening the blades of my rottery mower and when I went to disconect the pto, the housing was very warm. About 20-30 minutes.
This is the first time I had tried to disconect the PTO right after mowing, usually I had hauled the tractor a few miles...
Here is what I rigged to add transmission fluid to a BX 2200,
I used a 1 1/2 " electrical elbow (I had it on hand)
I used a heat gun to insert a 1" coupler into the elbow
(if you use a 1" elbow forget about the heat gun and the coupler)
a piece of 1" pvc pipe, and a 1" threaded adapter
DO NOT...
Sometimes I need to move my 5th wheel trailor and thought it would be handy to use the BX2200, so looking around the supply pile I found a few pieces including a busted receiver and now I can move the rv around the place real easy.
Has anyone but me broken the flashing amber lights on their BX2200?
I am going to move mine up on the rops after this weekend.
TSC has a replacement unit, but it has the wrong bulb, it is a 2057 dual element bulb for tail and stop lights, the kubota is a single element bulb.
Just curious

While moving some dirt with the FEL yesterday I found myself being sprayed with hydraulic fluid coming up from the left floor board around the emergency brake and differential lock pedal.
Turned out that the center line of the three lines under the left floor board developed a split. The dealer...
I got my tractor back from the dealer today,
Sure is nice to have good steering again, They replaced the entire cylinder The dealer said I was the first with the BX steering problem in this area.
Nice to be first in something.
Good Service, nice people at Ewald Tractor in Seguin, TX.

Does anyone know how or where you can get a copy of a Kubota Service bulletin?
Just for my own information,
I would like to get a copy of the one concerning the steering problems on the BX2200.
PSB-2001-048.
My dealer took my tractor in for this service and I would like to see what all is...
I have developed a steering problem with my BX2200 at 270 hours
I had not heard of any posts about this problem on TBN (Yet)
It will work all the time steering to the right, but when driving in a straight line it will drift to the right and when I try to turn Left the wheel will turn 1/2 to 3/4...
I don't know if you get your tractor out on the road much, but I drive over to some rent prperty a bit maybe 3/4 of a mile and I don't like trucks and cars coming up behind me when I don't know they are there.
So I got me a pretty chrome mirror for a ski boat and mounted it of the left support...
I just replaced the disks on my Mohawk rotary mower.
PS I hate electric fence wire and the people that throw it in the tall grass when they take it down!
I had to cut a 7 inch disk down to 5.5 inch because no one in sequin TX had the smaller ones.
Now I need to know how much tension to set on...
I have a Woods 348 that I have no use for and it has set outside for several years.
If any one within driving distance of San Antonio, TX has any use for it you can have it, Too heavy to ship.
It looks good but most of the pulleys are stuck, I have not tried WD-40 or any other sprays yet,
The...
Do any of the old timers remember a company named Mohawk that made a great little rotary mower a few years ago?
it was a model 40 and used on Kubota CUTs that were Cat 0 rigged.

I just picked up a 42 inch Mohawk rotary mower.
It came off of an old Kubota that was ruined in a flood.
Does any one know anything about the Mohawk mower?
It is in prety good shape, has class O pins, just needs sharpening.
Also got a belly mount mower that was belt driven, not such good shape...
I got me a (old) new shredder and need to shorten the 3 pt driveshaft, How much overlap should you have at the lower operating position so the shaft won't be too long in the raised position?
Any old timers out there ?
I have found an old 4200 or 5200 Kubota and Implements and just wondering when they were made.
Mainly to satisfy my curiosity.
Thanks

Kubota from the 90\'s
I just came across some implements that have been setting behind a barn since 1998, the owner said they were from a Kubota. They are Cat 0, but very strongly made, no visable name on them, when did Kubota make their tractors for Cat 0 equipment?
remote Hydraulics
I just looked at a post in the power trac forum (12/30/02) that was talking about adding a single spool valve by taking a new short hose and hooking it to the the "return to tank" side of the existing spool, and hooking it to the "pressure" side of the new valve and hooking...
Does anyone know of a powered rake or sweeper that would fit a CUT?
I have a bunch of live oak trees and they are all dumping acorons all over the yard.
The county was useing a powered sweeper (selfpropeled) on a road project the other day
and if someone make a smaller 3 pnt device it would sure...
Does the Yanmar tractor use the same basic engine as the marine Yanmar, The marine GM series has a single 10hp a twin 20 hp and a three cylinder 30 horse power.
Of course the HP quoted is the just before going up in smoke power, my 1GM10 is rated 9 hp on the bench and 8 hp maximun sustained...
Note this is a BX2200 and a backhoe, maybe some day I can get a BX WITH a backhoe.
I guess as long as I can pull two trailers at the same time, I can get the job done.
The backhoe is a Northern Hydraulics trencherman,
I bought it in 1990, of course they have a bigger, more powerful model now...
Do all the BX2200 have lower link balls that are so tight you have to have a bar to move them?
I waited for 130 hours to see if they would loosen up, then I took a 2 1/2 inch piece of pipe to put behind the ball and a bolt that would fit inside the ball and hit it numerous time with a 3 pound...
I finally decided I needed a little more weight on the front end after using a brush hog I borrowed from a friend, and too many trees to have the FEL attached.
I had added a front bumper earlier, see "bumper for a BX2200" posted in the Kubota owning & operating forum.
I dug in my misc. steel...
I had moved my boat to mow behind the RV barn and put the boat on the grass.
For some strange reason my darling wife wanted it moved off the grass so it would not kill the grass,
I thought it would be a good time to use the Kubota (I get a lot of those) and also check out the new forks I had...
I have been offered a deal on what was discribed as a tiller/boxblade combination.
I am going to take a look at it this afternoon.
Has anyone heard of, or seen such a attachment?
If indeed there is such a thing, is there anything I need to watch out for?
I don't want to exceed the limits on...
Has anyone added a additional hydraulic port to a BX2200.
Looke like it would not be too difficult a project.
Sure would be nice to be able to add things like a log splitter etc to the machine.
I cranked up the bota to find out how much the new forks I built would lift and heard a rattle under the hood.
I stopped the engine, lifted the hood and found that the bracket that holds the air cleaner had broken at the base.
No big problem, it is just a strip of sheel metal wrapped around the...
I have been using a TSC 3 pt carry all platform, and didn't think I needed any forks, even after reading all the good info on the TBN page.
Well I had to move a bunch of pallets and some limbs I had cut off.
The platform will move stuff like that, but it will only lift as tall as the 3 pt will...
Have you ever worried about the plastic grill on your bota when you were empting the FEL into a dumpster or pickup?
I did, so I built a bumper out of 2 pieces of heavy wall 1 inch square tubing 19 inches long and mounted them on a 1/4 inch piece of flat stock (actually scrap metal from another...
The nuts on the check chains aren't the easiest things to adust if your hands are wet, cold, greasy of if you have a load on them. I made a hand size adjuster by cutting off the big end of a quick hitch bushing (it fits over the nut) knurled it,
and welded it to the nut (see photo)
If you are...
Do you ever need to shorten a chain temporarily?
use a male and a female hook (see photo)
The orange (what else) pvc pipe holds a short and a medium length pry bar for assisting in attaching and removing implements.
If they are installing fibre optic cable in your area, they will have a lot...
I have sure enjoyed the TBN, you guys have some great idea and fixes.
Here is how I mounted a 50 cal ammo box on my BX2200.
I removed the SMV bracket from the ROP and mounted the ammo box on the SMV mount, then mounted the SMV bracket on the ammo box,
Then I mounted a strap using an existing...
I have managed to tear two rubber boots on the tie rod ends. probable due to old barbed wire (acording to my dealer).
I had to replace the entire assembly as the rubber boot is not carried as a replacement.
Has anyone found a source of replacement boots for the tie rod ends
