I just bought an S650G with the 27hp Mazda engine. My serial number is 500795. I am trying to determine the year that this one was built. Can find absolutely no info on decyphering the serial numbers for the year of manufacture.

Anyone with a Satoh Bison S650G have a switch activated by the Hi-Low lever? I am rewiring my tractor and the wiring diagram does not show any reference to this switch? If I cant find any reference to it I may just wire it to a couple indicator lamps to indicate the speed range.
