Well they will repair or replace for free for 5 years, so you still have time, and unless something has changed they will email you a shipping label, you print it out and box it up, UPS picks it up and in about 10 days it's fixed or they send you a new one and they pay shipping both ways.

If your talking about the hog hair closures, they are what I prefer as well, I have seen the foam closures hanging up inside the ridge in the attic, not sure if the adhesive on them wasn't sufficient or what.

There are also several widths of metal ridge cap, I prefer the wider ridge cap verses the narrow.

We call them closures down here, they are usually made out of heavy foam and have a sticky side to adhere to the metal roofing , they also make a hog hair type closure for vented ridge caps.

I just purchased a Kaufman 22' tilt deck trailer this past year, I did upgrade to the 8k axles and 17.5 tires, I don't miss the ramps on my old equipment trailer at all, I don't think you will regret getting a tilt deck, I paid a little over 8k if I remember right, with a spare.

Not sure if yours has one or not but many of the JD tractors will have a filter/screen inside the tank on the outgoing or suction side and they are known for getting gummed up or a little algae in the tank will partially block it.
