My well water is terrible. Should I just use pool water?

We built a couple years ago. I looked at a whole house RO. Then they were quoting $16-$20k in my area. My pump house is 8x8. They said it was too small for a RO system. Equipment plus storage tank. Also, they recommend a quality UV system behind the RO storage tank to kill anything that might...

Just a follow-up. I have used the hoe bit. It all seems to be working. No more self motion. Must have been air in the line. Thank you all.

1725, put my hoe back on...

I took my hoe off for snow season and just put it back on. Now while I am driving my hoe moves to the left... alli by itself. Any thoughts as to why? Pretty sure I hooked the hoses back correctly.

    Wounded

Etpm is dead on. Without remachining there will be no repair. It is possible to cut another keyway 90 degrees to the failed one. A good welder could buildup the corner of the keyway without doing much damage to the shaft. But, again, that doesn't fix the damaged shaft. Without the shaft...

    Blown insulation over foam board?

Paul, you hit my concerns pretty well. Sag and some type of support. Eddie and gstrom99: What guage of roofing pannels and how did you attach them? I like the walls. I started to do the osb as well. I am going to wait for summer to finish so I can burn and seal them. I like the look.

    Blown insulation over foam board?

I thought about drywalling the ceiling. It is not impossible to drop all the mounting hardware and putting it back. I could move all the mounting points up one hole on the hangers to compensate for the sheetrock. I do have access to a sheetrock lift. The hard part would be clearing the floor...

    Blown insulation over foam board?

My garage is attached to my house but, is per code, " fire barrier isolated " from my house. I did not have the garage ceiling sheetrocked or insulated. I had some things I wanted added in after we moved in. Now I need to insulate now and since the garage doors are hung and openers are in, it...

Square footage per person in a residential home?

The other consideration is... do you have any pack rats in the family... Seriously, people don't really need much space. Their stuff needs space. It is amazing how much can be packed into 2,400 sqft. If you don't mind not being able to walk through the place. Like, really, do I really need 8...

    Any experience with 2340 blade?

I am pondering snow removal and maybe some light dirt pushing. Does the 2340 blade have springs? If not.... is that a problem? I have access to a small side by side, I know they make snow blades for those as well. I have 1,000 to 1,500 feet to the county road. Driveway is gravel. I see...

Haven't had a teenager is a long time. It is our retirement dream. Home with a place for some cows, chickens and gardening. Three bed two bath plus the studio apartment. Filters, left that out, sorry. Spin down filter, iron filter and water softener. Lots of iron in the water. I never thought...

    1 inch before 1 1/4 water line

We are setting up our water system. The pump is 20-25gpm rated. Feeding through a 1 1/4 line. There is an unfiltered 1 1/4 irrigation line going out of the pump house. The house, shop and studio appartment will be filtered water. All those lines are laid at 1 1/4 inch. Here is my question...

What have you done with/to your GC Series 2300, 2400, 1700 Tractor TODAY

So, question. Cold weather tractoring. I see all these snow plowing comments. We are, God willing, going to be in a colder climate next year. I will be de-snowing over 1000 feet of driveway. For at least the first year the tractor will be outside under some kind of cover. The question- how...

I never learn. there is no doubt that the cases are down and the flu is pretty much non existent. these are facts, yes. many attribute that to mask wearing. so, there are multiple types of N95, some are vented some are not. so a virus could move out but be restricted on...

Buying Advice  TLB LS125 or Massey 1720/1725

I will have 15 acres to deal with but, for reasons I cannot go to a series 2 size tractor. That leaves me with the series 1. I almost brought home a LS125 but at the last moment hesitated. My property is sloped and has several undeveloped springs on it hence, the hoe. There is also a half mile...

kinda looking for a tractor... I think.

so, someone borrowed my tractor and pretty much everything else from my shop a few years back. I had a grey market 13hp with tiller and loader. It was fine for what I was doing... tippy but okay. Now I am trying to decide if a subcompact will work and just rent a hoe for ditching and the...

    Toro LX460 - belt question

so, I took my fathers LX460s mower deck off to replace the power belt (who is the ... gentleman that designed this system???)
