    Need some info

Here in MN, I fill up my barrel with #1 when they start to sell it at the pump, usually around Nov 1-15. If I have some #2 left, I usually use it up mixed with #1 plowing snow unless it's going to be really cold.If I have some summer diesel left in the middle of winter, I add some Howes & biocide.

SAE 30 or 10W-30 for older IH FARMALL

10-30 diesel oils have plenty of anti-wear additives, Rotella is one, Lucas also a good one & always on sale at Fleet farm.

    Oil type question

Up here in MN I use 10-30 Farm Rated in winter. I think I could run it summertime too, but the oil pressure is a bit lower in the heat of mowing season.

    Antifreeze- is any type OK?

I'm about convinced the water ways are nothing but gunk. I have to flush it out. Not to worried about the coolant to much because them Chinese tractors were just run with creek water anyway. The factory must not have worried about cyl cavitation or water wouldn't be mentioned in the shop manual...

    Antifreeze- is any type OK?

I read that if I change it every 2 yrs, it's more than likely ok to go ahead and use the green conventional low silicate. That's what the bottles say.

    Antifreeze- is any type OK?

I know old post right. I have a farm pro 2425 pre epa, I am having overheating problems that I never had before. So I need to flush and then add WHAT kind of coolant? Can I add green colored Havoline low silicate coolant like I bought, or won't this work in this engine? I wish I would have...

    Need advise on oil pressure!

I don't understand why you don't buy a pressure gauge at Napa or some such <$25.00 and hook it up just to see what it compares to one you are running. I replaced my gauge, had crazy low pressure but I didn't have any loud noise, I turned the adjustment up & the standard gauge didn't show...

New to me Jinma 254.. crankcase breather hose?

Maybe on the blow by thing you have a stuck ring. Don't take much carbon & rust to make em stick. Seafoam the engine before u tear it down.

New to me Jinma 254.. crankcase breather hose?

Very simple, should be a big cap nut under the filter if it's like my tractor Screw it off, then a lock nut on a screw inside, loosen nut, turn screw out. Could be on yours's it's in, {it's Chinese}whatever it takes so the pressure goes up. These tractors don't need a lot of pressure but 6 lbs...

New to me Jinma 254.. crankcase breather hose?

Oh about the gurgling radiator, Like Rooks said warm the tractor down for a while, should be done long enough to cool things, even without a gauge open the hood let it run and you can tell when it's cooled off enough. The hood really holds in the heat, & blow the screen out. I made myself a...

New to me Jinma 254.. crankcase breather hose?

I wonder if you're jumping the gun a bit, you know about the oil pressure adjustment on the oil filter housing? Have you tried to turn it out a bit for more oil pressure? I did on mine I was getting about 15-20 psi so I turned it up to 30-40 psi @ 1000rpm. If that don't do it run to Napa and buy...
