I think that's one of the later models of the roundtops, since it has the black amp adjusting wheel. That looks like the one I had.
Mine was a 1989 model and I think they went to the flat tops about 1990.
Your #1 AWG leads will work fine.
Surprisingly, I just received mine today. Very nice looking machine. :cool2:
It wasn't supposed to be here until tomorrow. I had to pay tax on it so I suppose it came out of the Amazon warehouse in Texas.
When I took it out of the box, I saw it was the newer style with the tong type...
I noticed that Harbor Freight is offering its new line of mig welders, the 170 & 180 on sale at a really good price. The 170 is on sale for $199 and with a coupon it's $179. The regular price shows to be $299.
I noticed that the 170 has a different current adjustment than others have. Instead...
I need to repair some cuts and scrapes on my welding cables and was at Ace Hardware looking at some regular electrical tape when I noticed this self fusing waterproof type. So I bought some of it.
Aceョ 22ft 3/4in Rubber Splicing Tape - Electrical Tape - Ace Hardware
But now I have a question...
My welding cables are getting some dings and cuts and I was looking up the best ways to splice and insulate welding cables, and ran across this article. This happened a year ago, so some of you may have heard about it.
It's an eye opener as to the condition some guys will let their equipment...
The instructions (below) that came with my new 5500w portable generator says to install a ground rod at least 24" deep.
I'm going to be using it to power my welding machine, power tools, air compressor, etc. from the back of my farm trailer, wherever it's needed.
Maybe I've led a sheltered...
The reason I ask is that Quick Hitches extend the implement out an extra 4", and have been wondering if there would be a loss in a tractor's lift capacity? Or would it just effect the center of gravity? Or neither?
I've noticed that a tractor's lift capacity rating is usually measured at 24"...
Really good advice on this forum regarding mowing on slopes.
But I have a question that I didn't see addressed.
I have a 5000lb Case/IH 385 with a very heavy 6' Servis/Rhino brush cutter that I will be using in mowing a slope this year. I have no front end loader. I've been mowing it with a...
I have a CIH 385 with the short tires on the back causing me to not have enough lift for certain implements.
So I'm wondering if a machine shop could make more threads on the shafts of the leveling screws on the 3-point hitch?
They look like 7/8ths bolt threads, but I don't know how hard they...
Last summer, I bought a yellow CaseIH 385 that belonged to the county. The tractor runs great, but don't want to run it much until I get the dash wiring fixed.
None of the gauges and idiot lights work except the alternator light. I check the OP with a manual gauge once in a while (70lbs), and...
I know this is going to sound dumb to you guys who've done a lot of roofing over the years, but that's one thing I haven't done much of.
I'm going to have to replace a corrugated tin roof on a shed, and would like to know the proper way to secure it.
A guy I know said he used to work for a...
