Picked up a 3 pt. woodsplitter at an auction that has a 4 way control valve designed to operate on a closed center system. I can make it work if I bungee cord the CV on the factory remotes to the extend position. This is a Ford/NH 1720. Any chance of damaging anything ?

Just saying Hi to all. This is a great site with a wealth of knowledge. Retired Navy man. I try to keep my 25 and my neighbor's 40 acres in s.e Ohio cleaned up with a NH 1720 and a Kubota L2350. Thanks for all the great information.
