Thinking about using elect. tape to seal the pressure switch to keep the ants off of it. Is this a good idea or does it produce to much heat? What do you do to keep the ants off the contacts ?

My tractor starts fine with out turning the key to the left (Heating up the glow plugs ) Correct me if I am wrong, Is this OK or should I heat the glow plugs up a few seconds before starting ?

I am saving my one gallon plastic milk jugs to transport used oil and hydraulic fluid to the recycle center. I know that gas will eat some plastic up but will they be safe for oil and hydro. fluid ?
