Little bit of a long story - I grew up in upstate NY. We made maple syrup every spring about 50 to 80 gallons of Grade A "Fancy". But when the season was almost over and the sap turned milky, we would make syrup that was NOT Grade A that was sold to the candy companies to give "maple flavor" to...
I have a Nifty Lift TM 34 - Honda Power. Nice machine, I like the Nifty Lift because the controls are mostly direct hydraulic, not electric actuated hydraulic. Had it about 3 1/2 years, no issues, does what I need, but somewhat expensive
Back in the day - 60's, 70's Caterpillar Track Type Tractors had a reversable fan. In warmer weather the fan was adjusted to blow forward thru the radiator and the heat away from the operator, and then in colder weather the fan would be reversed to draw thru the radiator and provide some warmth...
I've had a Cyclone Rake for over 10 years - pull it behind a 24 HP CUT with mid mount mower. Very good machine, it does what they say it will do, excellent customer service. But it is dusty and loud
I went to my dealer today about this since I had purchased a new B2601 with the 435 Loader late last year. I didn't see the TSB but they said my loader fell in the S/N range the requires an "inspection" to see if it has missing parts. They further said they would need to bring the machine to the...
Been following this thread with interest. First off, the terms used are not interchangeable.
Gravel is unprocessed natural stone - it would be like trying to drive on marbles of different sizes. Crushed gravel is natural gravel that has been processed and larger pieces reduced in size, may have...
I have a B2601 I purchased about 8 months ago, really like the tractor except the treadle pedal. Had a JD 2320 previously and liked the two pedal arrangement much better.
Would have bought another JD except the local dealer lost their JD franchise to a larger dealer over 30 miles away.
The way I...
I own a Nifty Lift TM34T. Honda power and telescoping boom. Very nice unit and fairly stable at max. height and/or reach. Does not have auto level but lets you know if not setup properly. Use it to trim trees, paint, change yard light bulbs and other misc stuff.
Tow it around my property with my...
Hearing loss is a difficult issue and takes a good professional to help you if you have anything other than slight hearing loss.
I tried several hearings aids - cheap to expensive and although they all helped some it wasn't until I found a good audiologist that really knew what she was doing did...
I'm a retired executive with a heavy construction company. I was in charge of the equipment. We were on a national account with a lubrication manufacturer; therefore we got free oil analysis on everything we owned, from 1/2-ton pickups to D-10 dozers. When you need your equipment to earn a...
Had another issue this week. Got email from FedEx that a package had been delivered. My gate was open so I looked all around and could not find it. Two days later a neighbor a mile away brought my package that had been left along the road at his house.
In the interim I had notified FedEx the...
My property is in a semi-rural area. My house is about 400 feet from the road.
I have a gate at the road and my driveway is paved with a large turnaround in front of my garage.
I get an email notification from Fed Ex when deliveries are coming, and I open the gate well in advance.
However, A...
A 140 would likely not do well with 2 bottoms, in fact probably not pull it at all
You would need to go up to at lea a 230 if not a 300 to pull 2 bottoms at a reasonable pace
I suggest that how you were brought up corresponds to how you respond to situations. I was raised on a dairy farm in a rural area. High school I went to had 35 kids in my class. So, people had to learn to do for themselves and help one another. Things you learn when young follow you thru life.
Same with me. Had a fully paid for Autocad LT they stopped supporting. Wanted to sell me a subscription with yearly fee. Went with TurboCad. Very pleased, One time fee when you buy it and you own it. Very similar to AutoCad.
Plus 1 on Water Furnace
In 1991 I built a 3,300 sf home in Connecticut. I followed all the recommendations, from power company about insulation, windows, etc. and had a Water Furnace Installer size everything. It was the best heat/a/c system I was ever around. No hot or cold spots - held...
I have a Cyclone Rake with a 35 foot pickup hose
Works good but, it will pickup stones and gravel.
Can’t say enough good about Cyclone Rake.
Great customer service, very helpful, reasonable parts prices
I have a Cyclone Rake XL
It’s an 8 inch hose and intake
Run it on a 2320 JD with 60 inch deck.
Rarely plug it and when I do it’s because I vacuumed up a bunch of small branches at onetime.
Had it 10 years and probably plugged it 15 times.
Your results may vary.
I would not go down in it. Too much chance of some type of gas that could overwhelm you. Very dangerous. Do all your work from top where you are in fresh air
Back in the day, 60’s - 70’s, The Caterpillar Handbook listed a
”Crawler Type Tractor” which was tracked machine with no blade. The blade attachment for the front of the Crawler Type Tractor was listed as a Dozer Blade. Modern slang has combined terms.
I have a Manaras Opera Model MH on a 12 x 10 rollup door in my shop
It works very well. I bought an optional limit switch for it that can be wired NO or NC that controls an outside light.
The outside light has a photo cell, so when the door opens at night the outside light comes on, and when...
I cut a door in the plastic so I could get to the access plate.
If you do this becareful of the wires on the back of the plastic.
I'll try to attach photo.
