Anyone installed a 3 point hitch on their X series tractors? I'm interested in getting one and just wondering if the avg. mechanical inclined person like myself can do it? Which is better the CAT 1 or CAT 0? Are theris hydraulic lines to run? Need some info.

How many have used this with good results? I need to replace waterpump on my JD X475 and wanting a good gasket maker.

Anyone change out one of these? I got the cover off but the actual pump seems really stuck on. Does it take a good amount of prying? Its all aluminum and I don't want to braek something by prying or tapping with plastic hammer to much.

Looking at a 475 with liquid filled bar tires. Wanting to rplace with turf tires. The OEM tire size is 26x12x12. OEM rim is a 12x9.5. I want to know if a 12x8.5 rim off a 300 series will fit on 475 with no problems. Also will 26x12x12 turf tires fit on a 1" narrower rim? JD wants $105 per rim...

The GX345 is $3750 with a powerflow bagger and 486 hrs. Good cond. The X540 has 250 hrs. $4950, also very good cond. Both have 54" decks. Are they about equal in durability? Is one considered a heavier built tractor? ANy info is appreciated.

Gettin ready to make a big trade up. Bought a new L130 1st year they were out. 802 hrs. later I'm ready for at least a X540 or older 475, 485. I pull a 1200lb. roller (which killed the K46 after a few years) and mow 2.5 acres. Learned that local area JD dealers will not even take a L120 or 130...

Looking at a used 2007 JD X700 w/ 54" deck. Found it on craigs. 325 hrs. Very good cond. $5850. Are these gas or diesel? Shaft or belt drive? Does the 54" deck cut smooth, even and scatter grass good? Any other specs would help to.

Just rebuilt the K46 in my L130. I filled it with 2 quarts + an additional 4 oz. jsut to top it off. This brought it to within 3/4" top of trans fill hole. I have ran it about 3 hrs. since and it performed great the whole time. Yesterday I started it and backed it out and trans whined for about...
