    Thanks, if I end up with any exposed foam I'll try that. I'm trying to use sheet metal, hardware cloth and some caulking. Hopefully I don't have to use any foam.

    That's a thought, I could make a tube out of hardware cloth and shove it in the space, then spray the foam in the hardware cloth.

    3M has a product like that, I went to their website and it said it wouldn't work on birds. Hard to believe it will stop rodents but not a bird, maybe it's got some kind of chemical in it that birds ignore.

    I've got a spot where rain blows in along a lean to roof on my barn that I've tried closing with expanding foam, but the birds like that spot and/or the foam because they keep pecking it away.
