any infor on a 1872 super garden tractor would be appreciated. what rearend is in this tractor? i thought it was a cast iron unit but just read it was aluminum. opinions and info would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

I have a problem with this tractor. It was flooding when turned off which ended up being a cracked seat in the carb. Purchased a replacement carb from OPE engines (Phil Coon Sales, whom I would highly recommend for small engine parts). This solved the problem of flooding and it runs like new...

Does anyone know what other model cub cadet hydro would be a direct replacement for the 1872? Would a 682 work? Sorry for double post.

Will a hyrostat out of a 682 work in a 1872? If not what other cub trans will work without modifications? The guy who has the cub said that the hydro quit pulling. What are some things that can be replaced on the trans to try and fix the existing trans. Thanks for any help.
