Trying to repair a damaged GT 2544 deck. I made a new spindle mounting plate for the right side. No matter where I mock up the spindle, the belt rubs against the deck mounting bracket even with the drive pulley in the locked position. Thanks for the help. Stumped.

Need help in deciding which one of these Garden Tractors to buy, LT 2042 or GT 2544. Price is fairly close. I have a 149 Cub Cadet now and would like to stay with the Cub family.
