john deere 1040

Hey guys, I've just bought a John deere 1040. Do they have an open centre system or load sensing system? Other than the alternator needing to be fixed it runs well. Is there anything i should keep an eye on or be worried about with it? Hopefully one day this week I'll take delivery. Thanks

Hi all, I'm just wondering if anyone knows what a 1984 JD 1040 2WD in good condition would go for these days? I can post pictures if required. There is a little rust on her, but everything is in working order and she's been well cared for the last 28 years. One owner only. Cheers Sxmargarit
