john deere 710

have a John deere 710c loader backhoe. it's been sitting for a few years and I noticed the brake pedals just go to the floor when pushed. does the nitrogen counter balance tank have anything to do with this?. I had solid pedals when I parked it.

Can anyone tell me if a 710 has multiple serial # locations and where they might be located? I found one on the LH side of the machine but the first few digits aren't legible. Thanks edited to add...mayabe I should have posted this in the construction equip section?

Found a good deal on a JD 710 TLB. Is there a site that I can check the serial # to verify its free and clear?

I've got a 70's JD 510 with the factory option of a 710 backhoe on the back. How do I get the main lift hydraulic cylinder out of the backhoe arm? There doesn't seem to be enough room to remove it. As I fix leaks, other things start leaking. I will post a picture tommorrow. Thanks Kevin
