'03 4210 eHydro error code

Well - I traded in my '00 4200 SST for an '03 4210 eHydro - dealer delivered it yesterday and I pulled it into the shed.

Pulled it out tonight to finally do a little playing with it and ran into problems w/in 15 minutes

In mid or high range it bogs way down and won't get up to speed. After a couple minutes the indicator light started to flash - 3 short flashes and 1 long flash.

When I was pulling back to the shed I noticed that it was acting as if the left rear brake was engaged. I messed with it and it wasn't engaged from the brake pedal in any way.

After coming inside and curling up in the corner like a baby for awhile I went back out to make sure I wasn't being an idiot. Fired it up and it ran like a champ - no issues (grrrrr). Ran it for 15 minutes and then parked it to do a little work in the shed. Came back to the tractor 30 minutes later and the problem was back.

I'll be on the phone with the dealer in the morning - but was hoping someone might be able to shed some light on the error code (or seen the problem before).

The code is for the throttle position potentiometer. I had the same code in my 04' 4310 when I bought it. The dealer put me on the back burner so I fixed it myself. I would suggest a technical manual. I have one but I don't know how to post pages to a thread. You would need to have a mechanical background and be able to use a voltmeter. Deere has the tech hook to a break-out box and take readings since I don't have access to one, I back probed the connection @ TPP and used a voltmeter to check the voltage and adjusted it. Then you need to follow the sequence in the tech manual to clear the code. Make sure the load match switch is in the off postion because it will do the bogging down because it senses a load by loss of rpm vs forward pedal pressure. If the TPP is out of adjustment the load match is disabled by the ecm. I also thought I made a mistake when I bought a tractor with problem, but it is not that hard of a fix.
