2004 Kubota BX23
I have an '04 Kubota BX23 and I started noticing a small drip of hydraulic fluid coming from the drain plug. I ordered both a new plug and gasket (actually a washer I guess). Installed them just fine. Snugged them up but did NOT overtighten them. I continued to notice the small drip form on the drain plug. So I put some Teflon tape on the drain plug and reinstalled it. Everything felt just fine. Yet it continues to drip. It is a very, very slow drip. And the drain plug is the lowest point on the pan. I'm wondering if it could be coming from somewhere other than the plug itself?!?! Anyone else had this type of issue? It's just enough to be annoying and piss you off, you know the type issue. Any help would be appreciated!

Very slow leaks are the hardest to find. Other than to suggest a thorough cleaning and trace back, if it's coming from above.

Fist step is a complete detail cleaning. Follow with a close visual inspection with good lighting.
If still unable to find the source, narrow down your search area by attaching paper towels on the pan (not an easy task), in order to try to figure out where it comes from higher or to eliminate it coming from higher. It can be a slow a frustrating process to determine the source, but the source must be found prior to be able to repair.
